You might have gotten your fill of turkey this November, but there was only one Drupal meetup. Sate your Drupal appetite this December with a special Panel on entrepreneurship and Open Source content management systems, at Ultralight Startups:
Ultra Light Startups, a New York based tech entrepreneur's group, is
hosting a panel discussion on Open Source CMS's on Thursday, December 4
and invites Drupal Community members to attend. The panel
discussion will feature experts on Drupal (Ezra Gildesgame), Joomla (Donna
Vincent) and WordPress (Steve Bruner). We will be covering issues
including differences between the platforms, how to chose a platform, and
advice and examples of tech startups built on each. Participants at Ultra
Light Startups events are tech entrepreneurs (including service providers)
and investors. More information can be found on the Ultra Light startups
website. Note: availability is limited so please see the ULS website to reserve a space. Ezra will also be handing out a special discount coupon for the upcoming book, Drupal in Action.

Thanks for posting this, Ezra, and thanks for agreeing to talk on the panel. It should be a good one, I hope to see the NYC Drupal community well represented...
Graham.
Very nice group
I attended ULS last month for the first time (topic was SEO) and thought it was really useful. I think it's a good complement to the Drupal meetups but obviously this month's meeting is particularly relevant to the Drupal community. Looking forward to it!

I rather enjoyed the pitching and the panel discussion
This was a great event Ezra, a rather enjoyed the pitching and the panel discussion. Even though you were outnumbered you were able to convey drupal's advantages quite effectively.
I may become a regular at the Ultra Light Startups meetups now.

Thanks!
Thanks all for attending last night and thanks Ezra for your excellent talk. There were lots of great things said about Drupal and I for one certainly came out with even more urgency to learn the platform and develop my projects on it. It's great to hear that the format and the pitches are appreciated, it seems to be quite a unique format and I'm glad it's working. I hope you all do continue to attend. To get announcements about future meetings be sure to sign up on one of our lists (email, Facebook list, LinkedIn list) all linked from the ULS website:
