Please join us for our biweekly Drupalcamp 10 NYC planning meeting, which will be held at DPCI on Wednesday, August 31st at 6:30pm - 7:45pm. DPCI is located at 1560 Broadway, Suite 810. Entrance is on 46th street around the corner.
The agenda for this meeting is concentrated on two main areas. First will be optimizing our communication as an organizer group. Second will be starting the planning for the content portion of the conference. Thus:
PM/organization
- Joe will present the project plan for the camp on projector. The group will critique/enhance so that we make sure we've got tasks properly defined and sequenced with the right resources 'owning' each task set.
Content coordination/planning
- Open discussion of ideas on tracks
- Discussion of possible 'main stage' speakers
- Discussion of possible session themes
- Where/when of BoFs
- Next steps on COD
Minutes from the 8/16/11 content coordinators' meeting may be found here:

Note that Joe will update the group on finalizing the venue. There is one final meeting that is needed where the content coordinators will tour through the venue to pick the final rooms and lecture halls.
Please signify that you will be attending this meetup by signing up in advance. For this particular meeting we will not have a remote-in option (no conference call line or IRC) since the meeting is so much about the heart of what we're offering this particular camp, and stuff gets missed in a conference call.
Please note that a number of us will walk over to House of Brews for Drupal Drinks immediately following this meetup.

Comments
is this open to anyone?
Even those of us with limited experience? Or should we just plan to attend the event?
Come if you want to help!
If you want to jump in and help make the next event happen, then please come along. We're still looking for more people to help out. No Drupal experience necessary, we'd love people with experience in organizing events and with good communication skills.

open to anyone
Hello @joeystern. Yes this meeting is open to anyone in the Drupal community. There is an organizer team that has been working for a number of months, so all that we ask is for the first meeting just listen in to catch up on what is happening.
Still plenty of open slots for volunteerism so we'd love to have you attend and hear what's going on. thanks for your interest.
