I have found the NYC Drupal PlayDay as an opportunity to focus on Drupal problems and solutions, that I would not ordinarily have time to concentrate on in a normal work day. Last Play Day I spent the day with an open manual and a laptop and delved into creating my first module. That would probably count as "train myself".

There are many attendees ranging from noob to guru - all of which are quite willing to pitch in where questions arise. So there is a community of Drupalers all in one place, all helping in one form or another, to "train ourselves".

The office is undergoing a bit of a transformation, and all those that attend today wil be able to get a sneak peak. This 'work-in-progress' state means that the office is a bit messy, but it's completely safe and able to be used for the PlayDay today!
