LIGHTNING ROUNDS
New feature. Have a topic you can present in 5 minutes (with 5 more minutes for questions)? The basic idea is there are patterns for developing sites the "drupal" way ("what would drupal do? etc."). Tell us a quick 5 minute recipe for how to put the Drupal "bricks" together. Theming techniques or other things may also be appropriate. Propose it below. Have a topic that needs more then 5 minutes, we have slots of 20 minute talks. VoIP Drupal presentation
Hello all,
If possible, I'd love to do a 20-minute presentation on VoIP Drupal (http://drupal.org/project/voipdrupal).
VoIP Drupal is an open source platform that facilitates the creation of Drupal sites that handle not just web, but also SMS, IM, Twitter and even calls from regular touch tone phones. The platform can be used to build all sorts of hybrid systems, including:
In my presentation, I'll introduce VoIP Drupal, demonstrate a few examples of the platform in use, and describe ways for people to start building their own telephone- and voice-enhanced websites.

I have been working with the local Occupy Wall Street group that is developing Drupal-based (and other based) web tools for that movement.'
VoIP integration with the web tools is critical, and is stalled for the moment.
I have been following Leo's work at MIT, but have not been able to put much time and effort into getting it working for the OWS project and another project.
This would be an ideal session for me.

not much stuff happening as it seems, I guess everyone is waiting for saturday.
I'll be bringing in some friends that very new to drupal and giving them a run through of the newbie stuff to prepare for this coming drupalcamp. so anyone interested in beginner stuff bring your laptop! I will be going over on how to make a simple slideshow using views_slideshow and going over cck and drupal terminology.
