We'll start our meeting with three ten 10 to 15 minute sessions and/or one longer 30 to 40 minute presentation. Please propose a session or voice your support for a colleague's proposal using the comments section below.

    DRAFT AGENDA

    LIGHTNING TALKS

    - 10 to 15 minutes - sign up for a topic!

    PRESENTATION

    - 30 to 40 minute presentation - sign up for a topic!

LIGHTNING TALKS - You don't have to be a Drupal ninja to do a lightening talk! Share what you've learned and help spread the Drupal goodness. Use the comments section below to suggest your topic. Make sure you mention it is for the "lightning talk" otherwise it might get confused with a longer presentation.

PRESENTATIONS - Have a topic that needs more time? Trying to practice for a Drupal Camp presentation? Volunteer for a presentation. Make sure to tell us your intended audience.

Lightning talk on Drush

notmike's picture

I could do a lightning talk. This one is pretty basic, but I just learned how to do it, and I was surprised how easy it was. I could demo installing Drush for the first time on an OS X Lion system, then using it to update Drupal core. Then I could install Drush on Windows.

Maybe someone else could do a lightning talk on more advanced Drush features.

I can probably do a talk on

Drupal Charts Graphs JQuery UI

elearner's picture

Drupal is amazing! I am interested in integrating css frameworks and javascript into Drupal.

Currently, I am testing the http://drupal.org/project/jquery_ui and http://drupal.org/project/charts_graphs module and doing a talk about implementing such modules would benefit the Drupal community.

A couple possible short talks

A couple possible short talks I could do:

Write your first module - use the Drupal API to alter a form
5 minute local install of Apache Solr.

Looking For a developer in NJ area to help with a site.

I have a project that was done in Drupal and CSS. The shopping cart in Hubercart.
The project just needs some pages to be updated. This will be a ongoing monthly for at least the next year.
I am a web developer but have no experience with Drupal or Ubercart, so i could use a little help.
I do plan to learn Drupal and Ubercart.

Agenda

Thanks everyone for participating!

We have offers to present lightning talks on Drush in windows and OS X Lion, multi-site, your first module, Apache Solr local install. We also have a request for a presentation on css and javascript and data visualization such as charts_graphs, as well as advanced drush.

I’d like to suggest having three lightning talks for tomorrow’s meeting Drush, multi-site, and running Apache Solr locally. We might have time for one more. We could leave ‘’your first module and advanced drush for the next meeting as they might be longer talks or full presentations.

Last chance to weigh in.

Sounds good - we can do those

Sounds good - we can do those after an update about camp planning, and the transition into more free-form discussion. It sounds like Ian has some Form API questions, so maybe we can tackle that.

Please bring more NJ Drupalcamp logo ideas

Michael Muzzie had some good draft logos last month, but we need to settle on a final logo tonight or tomorrow. If you have ideas (or better yet, a more polished design) to contribute, please be sure to bring it tonight.

Theme for our Camp site

Blink incorporated a variation of notmike's logo into a theme design that I am posting in a new node. Feedback welcome.
