LIGHTNING ROUNDS
New feature. Have a topic you can present in 5 minutes (with 5 more minutes for questions)? The basic idea is there are patterns for developing sites the "drupal" way ("what would drupal do? etc."). Tell us a quick 5 minute recipe for how to put the Drupal "bricks" together. Theming techniques or other things may also be appropriate. Propose it below. Enterprise Drupal Devops without the Devs or the Ops
I will be attending the meetup via a Google+ hangout from Australia. During this lightning talk I will give a quick overview of a longer talk I hope to give in January. This session will cover the key components and concepts of an integrated deployment system that allows code, configuration and content to be deployed through multiple environments in a coordinated way. This allows one of Australia's largest insurance companies to go from idea to live in an afternoon with multiple reviews and sign off.
My lightning talk will be based on the presentation I gave at BADCamp

Responsive ads
I'm not sure I have anything to offer but would like to hear anyone's experiences with ad placement and sizing in a responsive environment. I am working on a site right now and having some strange conversations with my client regarding how the direct sales banner ads should adapt to the responsive environment.
I'm doing some research on it now but it seems to be in flux.

I would be willing to moderate one of the 20 minute sessions as just a Question & Answer Free for all. I am not saying I have all the answers, but I am sure someone in the room does.
I think it would be nice for people that are attending to get a chance to ask questions in front of the entire group.

We're getting a lot of notices of people not signing up in time, mostly due to forgetting (and we even left signups open for a few extra hours this time round.)
Please remember to signup each month that you think you'll be coming. This not only makes it a lot easier for everyone, it guarantees you'll get in.
We don't want to go back to a strict "you didn't rsvp" = "you can't attend" policy, so everyone please be conscientious.
As an added bonus, you'll get the automated reminder the day before the meeting, and updates on the event.
