User group meeting
Last month I led a little talk I like to call, Robbie's Practical Version Control for Drupal - How to use Subversion with CVS to make your life easier. This month I think we should head back to more Q & A and show & tell. Please bring questions, problems and examples.
I urge everyone to head up to New Paltz for the DrupalCamp there on 10/17 I will be there assisting Frank, and likely presenting.
As usual the meetup is held at the Panera off Route 17 North.

Is there any..
Sir, is there any chance to move this on Route 4 Panera? they do have a backroom that they use for functions and party. I frequent the place and its pretty quite on a weeknights. I really wanted to join and learn a lot using Drupal but the Ramsey location is way off from where Im coming. I hope this can be worked out. Many thanks in advance.
This has come up a few times
This has come up a few times already, I used to go to meetups at that Panera at one point 2-3 times a month. It is very difficult to get that room on a consistent basis, and in general that Panera is so busy that it is hard to camp out for 2-3 hours with a group of people. The Panera in Ramsey is so under-utilized that I haven't even had to reserve the room. If you want to come out and talk Drupal I also go out to a meetup in Radburn NJ most months (MySQL, PHP, Web Design, Hackfest, .Net all mushed together this is through Meetup.com here is one of them http://softwaredev.meetup.com/74/ ) that Just happened last night (10/8).
There are also 2 Drupal Meetups in NY, one through http://groups.drupal.org/new-york-city and one through meetup.com http://drupal.meetup.com/9/ (seems like it is not meeting again)
Radburn meetup
I attended the meetup in Radburn last Thurs., and the place is also cramped up, im glad to have met 3 other people but also we have four different backgrounds :) one is doing ASP, the other is dealing with RUby and they do not have any clue as to what Drupal is. And there was about 3-4 meetup groups last Thursday, but all goes well if I may say. Anyhow, I'll try to check the best public transportation I can take going to Ramsey Panera, I really want to join the Drupal discussion. THanks a lot though, just want to try my luck asking. I'd definitely wanted to join the Hudson Valley Drupal Camp, do they charge a fee?
More power and hoping to meet with you guys sometime.
Sorry our paths didn't cross
I was there at the Radburn meetup this past week, I was sitting near the window at front of the restaurant with Mike, I was actually working most of the meetup and just chatting so I wasn't super social that evening. There are 2 train stations in Ramsey, I am not sure what the walk would be, where are you coming from? On the Hudson Valley DrupalCamp I am 99% sure it is free, that should be a good time, a lot of the New York community professionals (myself included) are going up there to assist Frank with whatever he needs, mostly I think we will be presenting and assisting. I am thinking of setting up a break/fix table :)

I believe we are in the same area that night, I stayed up until 9pm, but we kept on discussing multiple topics, I also saw the leader of the meetup group you mentioned above. I live in Saddle Brook, so the Radburn location is pretty accessible to me, I saw the train station up in ramsey, but it'll be about half a mile walk going to the mall where panera is, I searched the bus routes from my place of work in Leonia but it'll take me around an hr and half to get there so i'll miss most of the discussion. I'll sign up for the hudson valley meet and maybe find a way to have a rideshare or just take the trailways on 42nd. Me and my wife will be joining. Hey all after a great Drupal Camp Hudson Valley(DCHV) at SUNY New Paltz I look forward to having our little meetup this Wednesday. If anyone has something they would like to discuss or present on let me know. If not we can do a wrap up report of DCHV and what was done there. If you are planning on attending please make sure you signup so we have an idea of people coming and can hold off the topic discussion til confirmed attendees arrive.
