Hi Guys/Gals,
In my Drupal consulting travels, I've found the thing people need most is help defining there goals, setting priorities, assigning budgets....the business elements of web design. Executing the plan has always been the easy part, once the business objectives are clear. I've finally learned from this experience and have had some success lately helping businesses define there goals before we discuss any kind of consulting arrangement. I use an xMind document to help educate people on all of the many options they should consider. I wrote a blog this morning to share my experience.
It's long winded, so I'm not going to post it all here. If you've had similar obstacles in your Drupal work, please read it. If you disagree, or would like to add to it, please do comment here. I consider it a community document. The idea is that we share our common experiences in the same way we share code. :)
