Possible NYC Drupal 8 Sprint early in 2015 - call for volunteers

Hi All,

I'm thinking about helping to coordinate a Drupal 8 sprint for sometime in early to mid-January. We can possibly get some space to provide for some learning opportunities at the same time. Yes, we must avoid Drupalcamp NJ in our scheduling.

Let me know in your comments if you are:

a.) a Drupal contributor that would be interested in participating in the sprint

b.) a Drupal 8 smarty that would be interested in presenting/leading

c.) a local NYC volunteer that would be interested in collaborating to organize this event

I probably would only be interested in leading this charge if there were enough people that want to make this happen here in NYC. We'll come up with the funds for it if it is meant to happen...

I am new to Drupal but experienced with events, I can totally help with organizing depending on the exact dates of the event as I already have a few short trips scheduled in January. Please let me know.

I would attend this if it ends up happening. I may be able to help get some space near Times Square if we need it.
