We are excited to announce that we have secured John Jay College in Midtown Manhattan for DrupalCampNYC2016, to be held Saturday, February 27th, 2016!
DrupalCampNYC2016 (Hashtag #DCNYC16) will be a full-day Drupal unconference and sprint event. All skill levels are welcome! The content is determined by attendees at the beginning of the day, but you can expect to find sessions and conversations on topics ranging from the most basic to advanced.
Among the exciting details of the camp include:
• Morning coffee, bagels and a schmear (wouldn't be a NYC camp without 'em!)
• Beginning Drupal training, brought to you by none other than Alex Ross (@Bleen)!
• A Drupal Ladder/mentoring room, where you can get your environment set up and learn to code for Drupal
• Drupal codesprints
• Sessions all day, picked by us all and presented by drupalists among us or collaboratively in BoF format.
For those people interested in volunteering in the planning stage, please ping Joe Bachana (joe@bachana.com) or post a comment to this event page.
We will need the following volunteers:
- Site builder/themer to help build the camp site
- Sponsorship coordinator
- Food/beverage coordinator
- Day-of Volunteer coordinator
Consistent with our need to keep these camps cash-flow neutral, we will need corporate and individual sponsors willing to help fund this event. We will be soliciting sponsors in the coming weeks, but please mention this opportunity to the organizations that you work for to get them ready to help pitch in.
Watch this Event page and follow @DrupalNYC (https://twitter.com/drupalnyc) on Twitter or our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Drupalcampnyc) for the latest updates!

Does this event include setup/training for Drupal 8?
Drupal 8 training
Hello,
There will be Drupal 8 training sessions at this event, including a mentoring room ('Drupal Ladders') where you can bring your questions. Hope this helps.
