Hey all just want to post this here, and formally suggest that we move our Drupal NYC meetups to the 1st Wednesday of the month. This alleviates the issue of doing them every 4 weeks (which makes 13 yearly meetups with one month with 2 meetups, kind of not monthly meetups then). This is something that other meetup solutions tend to use, I am thinking of meetup.com, there you generally pick a week of the month and a day of the month to solve this issue. Our community also has a monthly social meetup Worldwide Drupal Happy Hour (WDHH) - NYC Edition that is meeting on the last Wednesday of the month. So we should standardize our meetup schedule to allow satellite groups Northern NJ, Central NJ and Lower Fairfield CT Meetup to schedule accordingly. I can tell you I am currently scheduling the Northern NJ meetup 1 week after the NY Meetup, so in the future this would just become the 2nd Wednesday of the month.
My 2 cents and since this has been discussed multiple times in IRC and with regards to WDHH.

I propose we add this to the agenda for the June 2 meetup
Shouldn't take more than 5 min to discuss and decide whether we prefer once a month on a fixed day or every 4 weeks.
We'd also need to decide when to make that active and how to communicate it.

The central NJ one has been oscillating a bit, but currently have been meeting the 1st or second Wed of the month.
Lower Fairfield
Is new, but I'm scheduling it for 1 week after the North NJ one as we both draw folks from Westchester.
good idea
Most organizations I know of that hold monthly meetings do the same thing. One group I'm a part of has held its meetings the first tuesday of every month for the past 15 years. Anyone involved that has an issue they want to discuss knows when the meetings are and can plan to attend, no need to check any website or call anyone to verify meeting time/date.
Doing it this way makes it easier for people to remember; it makes it easier to do outreach to new people (or print reusable promotional materials); it tends to lead to more people showing up because it's easier for them to schedule their time.
Having the meet at regular
Having the meet at regular time seems like an improvement to me. Can we confirm that we could schedule the space in advance on this way? Litwol? Robloach?

That way we know we can make the change without any location issues.
Change from Wednesday?
Since I have a conflict on Wednesday and most other groups seem to like that day is there any chance we can change the day to a Tuesday or Thursday?

Yes, the first Wednesday of every month is established and works well. Just how the last Wednesday (a week before said meetups) is designated for Drupal Happy Hour, it makes it less confusing.
