Darn!
Meant to bring this up at the meeting yesterday. There have been conversation in IRC and also I think here on the group on if we should standardize on first Wednesday of each month for the meeting.
Right now our next meetup is schedule for June 30 (last Wed of THIS month) which would theoretically conflict with DWHH (Drupal Worldwide Happy Hour).
So what to do?
Option A: We can ask the good folks at Mansueto if they would mind moving the meeting to July 7
Option B: We can leave it at June 30 and push DWHH forward one week
If we don't get a strong response one way or the other I'll say we'll probably have to leave it at June 30.
Do keep in mind there is never a guarantee with our gracious hosts Mansueto that we'll get a specific night although to date we haven't had a problem.

Alternative venue if necessary for meetup
if we want to switch dates and Mansueto can't accommodate, Limewire have offered their space for the meetup. They host several other tech meetups, and are building a huge Drupal site right now. Their offices are gorgeous! They're just off Canal Street near a bunch of subways. I'm a fan of having the meetups on a standard wednesday each month rather than the current setup of every 4 weeks, precisely to avoid this kind of conflict of dates.
I know that House of Brews have set aside our space there for the last Wednesday of every month (thanks Roger) so although they could switch probably switch it, we should definitely let them know as far in advance as possible.

Question still stands. Let's get a few more folks weighing in on whether we should put the meetup to first Wed of the month starting next meetup.
I haven't promoted the June 30 meetup to the home page yet as it doesn't have a lot folks signed up yet.
So if it were done, it is best done now!

MV already confirmed accommodation. i think its best to stick to current plans for this month and if we wish to change meetup dates to "last/first wednesday of the month" then we should do it starting next month. Its just not nice towards them to change things all of a sudden. we can easily change dates once we exhaust previous accommodations which were setup 6 months ago.

In the future, the meetup
In the future, the meetup will be on the First Wednesday. and Drupal Happy Hour on the Last Wednesday. I will take the Second Sunday to be DruBallNYC.
