Last I knew advomatic was hiring, I recommend checking them out. I also know a lot of Drupal folks in the DC area (I've been doing that kind of stuff full time at NGP for five years).
Thanks seanr, I have just visited their web site and applied. I have been looking for Drupal focused companies in NYC for a while as I believe those would provide the work environment I seek. In any case, if anyone else out there is listening and you know someone in NYC looking for full-time Drupal themers, please send me a note.
There are a ton of jobs being posted in the 'Jobs' Block daily on the Drupal NYC Group homepage.
Also, there are always many people from various companies/workshops looking to hire at the meetups every month. Both at the Monthly meetup on the first Wednesday of every month and the social on the last Wednesday of every month.
Please try to keep Job related postings in the Jobs section by using 'Create Job,' as these are not considered postings of the type 'Discussion.'
Thanks orbgasm. This wasn't a job posting so that's why I didn't create a Job Posting. More a of a "job seeker" post, which I understand isn't exactly appropriate for this discussion area either. Feel free to remove it if you have the right access to do so.

AFAIK
AFAIK group admins currently cannot remove postings into an organic group(s), but only a GDO admin can delete a post.
There are a number of threads discussing this, if it should be changed and how to implement a better solution.
