Our next LA Drupal meetup on the Westside is on January 25, 2011 at the corporate headquarters of at Media Temple in Culver City, CA. The meetup begins at 7:30pm but the doors open a little earlier at 7pm.

If you'd like to give a presentation, announce a job position or ask any questions of the group, please leave a comment below and plan to come a few minutes early. If presenting, be sure to bring your laptop (and power and display cables) and whatever else you need.

This event is free - in fact, there will be raffle prizes and food and drinks will be provided - and no RSVP is required. Those who sign up, however, will have last-minute details (if there are any) sent to them before the meeting. It's been a while since we've had a Drupal After Dark and it's time to do one again. Come see Tron Legacy with your LA Drupal friends and colleagues, including people who worked on the movie, at the Rave 18 IMAX theater (formerly known as the Bridge) on December 19, 2010 at 4:00pm.

What's Drupal After Dark?

Drupal After Dark get-togethers have traditionally been social occasions where food and drinks are involved (and alcohol is an option). In the past we've met at places including the Outdoor Cinema Food Fest, the Good Hurt and Don Antonio's on the Westside and Masa in Echo Park and good times have been had by all.

Drupal After Dark is part of a growing movement that includes Drinks and Drupal, Drupal Happy Hour and Brewpal meetups around the world.

Movies + Park + Food trucks

The Outdoor Cinema Food Fest (OCFF) a combination event featuring a movie, a street food festival and outdoor picnic -- no basket required! The movies are shown on the largest outdoor movie screen on the West Coast (standing three stories tall and 52 feet wide), and this time we're seeing The Princess Bride on the big screen.

The food trucks we saw last time included Barbie's Q, Big Swirl, Bool BBQ, Papa's Tapas, Komodo, Let's Be Frank and Nom Nom Truck. Don Francisco's was also giving out complimentary coffee. Participating food trucks (and other last-minute news) are announced by @outdoorcinemafo on Twitter.

Tickets are $8 each, so be sure to order yours and bring some extra cash for the food trucks.

What's Drupal After Dark?

Drupal After Dark meetups have traditionally been social occasions where alcohol is usually involved. In the past we've met at places including the Good Hurt on Venice Blvd. and Masa on W. Sunset Blvd. and good times have been had by all. Attendees are expected to abide by both the Outdoor Cinema Food Fest policies and the laws of the State of California.

We received a specific request for help with an arrayshift-based distribution site. This is really cool, as Markus and I have been working with just such a site for one of our clients over the past several months and so this is right up our alley (you never know where a clinic question may come from).
