Saforian is a interactive design firm located in Washington DC. We are growing our team and looking for talented part-time or full-time developers with strong Drupal, PHP, and MySQL coding background in the Southern California area.

Earlier in the year I set-up a store at GoDaddy so I could get domain names and hosting account for my clients. If any member of the SoCal group (or a regional offshoot) could use these kinds of things at my cost, let me know a head of time and I'll set you up with a special account. Amazon Web Services is hosting a Cloud for the Enterprise event in Los Angeles on July 20th. I went to their last LA event and it had some good content. Specifically, they did a few case studies of highly scaled cloud sites such as reddit.com. If you are looking at AWS as a Drupal option it might be an interesting event for you to learn more.
