Join us Tuesday, December 11th, 2012 at Coloft for a special end of the year gathering & open floor meetup followed by after hours Social & Networking.

This month we'll start with quick news & announcements followed up to three lightning talks, and then quickly breakout into focus groups & questions. Come stump the experts! Afterwards, we'll host an end-of-the-year networking and bash at a local wine bar (either Bodega or Rustic Canyon). Join us!

This month we'll have introductions & announcements maybe followed by a short presentation or two (in beta, thats right). It'll be an intro/overview plus some Q&A. Then we'll quickly jump into how to contribute to Drupal.

About this Meetup

The 4th Monday of every month we contribute to Drupal to coincide with core office hours.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a community-driven effort whose goal is to focus one day to raise the profile of digital (web, software, mobile app/device, touch screen kiosk, etc.) accessibility and people with different disabilities.

The idea started with a single blog post. On May 9th, people in communities around the world are encouraged to hold a talk/meetup, organize hands-on demos, or plan another activity that brings attention to some aspect of digital accessibility. Follow @GblA11yDay on Twitter and use the #gaad hashtag in your own tweets.

Droplabs is happy to participate in this global event. We will have both Dallas Legan and Larry Hart on-hand to present:

• Dallas Legan is a well-respected member of the Southern California Open Source ecosystem. He has presented on a variety of topics at UUASC, LAMP-SIG, the San Fernando Valley Linux Users Group, the San Gabriel Valley Linux Users Group and SCALE.
• Larry Hart is a longtime member of the San Fernando Valley Linux Users Group. He also happens to be a blind web user and will be imparting both his knowledge and frustrations of using a non-accessible web. We hope this will lead to discussions on how we, as web developers, can create a more usable and accessible web.

A few of us local to the LBC are going to meetup at Beachwood BBQ & Brewery in downtown at 210 E 3rd St, Long Beach CA 90802. I'd like to work on:

Come contribute! The 4th Monday (change this month due to Drupalcon to) 4th Wednesday in Long Beach we're holding meetups to coincide with core office hours.

Join us in Long Beach or meet us online in our google+ hangout. The first few meetups have been fantastic! During each we either contributed patches or helped somehow in the process. As a result we've already helped get code committed to Drupal core! Want to help? Can't code? no problem. There truly is something for everyone to do. We'll help teach you.

Drupal meetup in Old Town Pasadena! The meetup will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 7-9pm. Everyone is invited. Please bring laptops and chargers if you would like to follow along. There will be time for discussion and job announcements.

Please RSVP by signing up below so we know how many to accommodate. Depending on the turn out we may need people to bring chairs. If you can't attend this month's meetup but would like to come to one in the future, we will be hosting meetups on the first Monday of each month.
