Hi Folks,
I'd be interested in attending a weekly event where members could share knowledge and experiences with using Drupal. When is the next planned meetup. Is anyone else interested in meeting up on a weekly basis?

anything once a week is too much like church
I think the NYC community is having a hard time even sustaining a monthly meeting. Weekly seems too often to me.
Trying to meet too often, before there is a critical mass of people, will be more damaging than helpful to an effort to get a group together that can sustain regular meetings.
If monthly meetings seem too hard to pull off at the moment, we might even look to do larger quarterly events/drupal camps instead of monthly meetings?

Monthly is good.
I personally find the monthly meetups to be astoundingly helpful even when it is a low turnout. I think it makes for a good community 'check in'. Hi, this is what I'm working on, anyone else having this problem?
Although, more drupal camps are always fun.

Next Meetup is tonight
The next meet up is tonight (check the events for directions n' such). We are meeting Monthly towards the end of the month which seems to be working out. I think weekly is too often and too much of a committment (I have a ton of other projects going on).

OK, I feel kinda stupid even asking this, but where is the events page? I can't but imagine I'm missing something but there doesn't appear to be a link from the New York City page to New York CIty events?

I found it. I had only bookmarked the NYC page not the main page. Perhaps we can do a 'sticky at top of list' for our meetings and directions on the NYC page? Would this be helpful to anyone else?

Where can I get to the events page?
Front of the groups subdomain
Its linked from groups.drupal.org. All events for all groups I guess are listed from the front page. Go to the right hand side bar and click more in the events block and it'll show a calendar. Seems like there should be a way to make an events block per group, but I haven't played with OG yet, so I'm not complaining.
