I see a lot of people having bugfix meetups. I'm not sure what the format of a bugfix meetup is supposed to be, but to me it sounds like a great excuse for pizza and beer.
Proposal:
Pick one or two of the active bugs. Get a place on a quiet night that does food and drinks and can offer wifi. I'm thinking of the back room of the Alligator Lounge, but for non-brooklynites that might be rough. Suggestions are welcome. Meet, fix bugs, or try real hard to fix bugs.
If we have enoug interest we can have a dev group and a theme group as I think there are quite a few themes that, for example, don't support slogans or something, and would appreciate the patch. Or even a few that need a little CSS work.
What do you think?

except they have more table space, and outdoor area to smoke and 5hit load more table space... though, i'm not sure about wifi...

Yeah, Same owners, I'm not sure about the wi-fi. I've never been in Capone's yard, just the front, how many can it accomodate?
I think outdoor would be better than indoor (so Capone's might be better), as it is summer and computer pasty people need the sun.
I'll try to get in touch with Capone's management before Monday to get details.

Any thought on what bugs we want to make a stab at?
Not sure they need to be actual bugs. I don't want to put pressure on anyone. Can we set a list of issues we want to, if not fix, attempt to understand and give insight to?
http://drupal.org/project/issues - Core would be excellent, but anything really warrants attention. Need help with a client account/bug start a small team to help you...?
Also, lets talk dates? Today is the 1st (2nd?) of August. I don't want to stomp on the toes of the next meetup, but I don't know when that is. Can I get feedback on A) When the next meetup is? and B) Am I plying the same crowd,
