Updated! The last meeting on the 28th of November didn't happen because MNN's building was jammed packed and we had no room. We agreed to meet on the 12th of December but I forgot to amend this post so here it is. Again sorry for the really short notice.
Let's talk about DrupalCamp!!!

Its that time again!!! Meetup! Whoot!

Thanksgiving is the 23rd so lets meet on the 28th. The Turkey should be out of our systems and life will, unfortunately, be returning to normal; along with all of our Drupal (and other) projects.

Where: MNN, 537 west 59th st.
How: Train: A,B,C,D or 1 to Columbus Circle, walk two blocks west (59th between 10th and 11th)
Bike: Greenway to 59th st, go under the underpass, 1 block east.
Car: ah, ha, ya whatever you don't have a car
Who: Everyone.. All skill levels, beginner, intermediate, advanced, genius or "what's drupal?"
Why: because the turkey is probably gone and we'll be bored.

Topics: Defined by group...
Some suggestions
-XML/RSS feed from PHP code (i.e. not theming output on pages)
-Advanced theming Topics
-Use of CCK (pitfalls, traps and other annoyances; followed by praise)
-Drupal 5.0 - Overview, what's coming?

Whatcha wanna talk about?

NY CoWorking Support

Anonymous's picture

Hi! I am actually trying to start a co-working site in New York!!! I would love your help if you're interested... I'm gathering market research data so that I can demonstrate a need for this type of business (and get some $$funding$$). If you could take my survey and pass this on to your co-working colleagues, I would really appreciate it. It takes about 3 minutes to do:

If you're interested in learning more about my ideas for the business, contact me any time! srodriguez07@gsb.columbia.edu.

Cheers,
~Sue

Isn't this like....

HA, you know how these internets work... this is news to me (and to the greater coworking community), but if anyone is interested in coworking there are two actions you should take...

  1. visit and add your name to the appropriate group - http://coworking.pbwiki.com/CoworkingNewYorkCity
  2. subscribe to the google group and announce yourself - http://groups.google.com/group/coworking

Hi sue,

Good to hear that you're interested! There's a focused group on setting up coworking sites throughout the city and I would love to keep you in the loop. Sadly, I was unable to click on your survey - the link take us to an admin page....

If anyone else is interested, check out the wiki at http://coworking.pbwiki.com/CoworkingNewYorkCity

Drupal 5

Anonymous's picture

I'm for making most of the meeting a discussion of drupal 5.0 and what to expect in terms of changes to core node functionality, how content/node types are managed, forms api, etc. As well as what potential problems to expect upgrading from 4.6 and 4.7. Anyone know if there is an upgrade path from flexinode to cck?
