"How to get involved with and contribute to the Drupal project"

Meet-up in central NJ for the New Jersey Drupal group. To be held at the Institute for Advanced Study. Note earlier-than-previous starting time. Please chip-in to get some pizza or other food.

Getting involved with the Drupal project (i.e. drupal.org, the Drupal core code, Drupal documentation, Drupal support, etc.) is a great way to both expand your own expertise and to build relationships and credibility in the Drupal community. This meet-up will focus on the ways that anyone from the very newest user to a seasoned developer can get make valuable contributions.

The meet-up will include special tutorials by AlexUA and Jody from Zivtech on testing and contributing drupal core patches which will be followed by collaborative work on patches/issues.

Address:
Bloomberg Hall
1 Einstein Drive
Princeton, NJ 08540
(we are marked on Google maps)

IAS is a short distance from Mercer Street. See here - http://www.ias.edu/about/directions - for directions and a campus map. For those who are familiar with Princeton University, we are basically on the other side of the golf course. It is a little over a mile from the train station, so walkable, but maybe we can get volunteers to pickup anyone coming by train. For those coming by car, park in Lot A. There should be plenty of parking in the evening.

We should be able to use the same room as last time - the Biology conference room of Bloomberg Hall, room 113. If you look at the campus map, it is building 4 (Bloomberg Hall.) If you enter the front of the building (letter e on the map,) go left. If you enter from the side of the building (letter f,) go right up the stairs. Signs will be posted at both entrances.

This meeting is starting at 6pm, so we are getting food. Try to be early, and chip in, if you haven't already. We may be eating in the lobby, which is just inside the front entrance. There is wireless throughout the building, accessible after self-registration.
