Our Last Meetup in the Old Space + Party
This month's meetup will be our last meetup at WTC7. After many years we've outgrown the space (those of you who couldn't find chairs know this!) And so we're planning a very special meetup + party. We'll also be announcing the new location.
Afterwards?
We'll head over to Suspenders (just a couple blocks away) for a special going away party sponsored by Acquia!
http://maps.google.com/?q=Suspenders&cid=15798436359602217114
Final list will be given to the venue at 10pm on June 4th (the evening before the meetup)
You need to sign up before then to get in.
Plans?
In addition to really great talks on Views, Drupal 8 and deployment tools, this month's special edition features a look back at the Drupal's history and Drupal NYC group. Joining us will be past organizers of the group to talk about the group's history (such as holding the very first Drupalcamp ever) and we'll also have some talks about Drupal's 13 year history. Other past organizers will be in attendance as well but won't be presenting.

Short talks
Have a topic you can present in 5 minutes (with 5 more minutes for questions)? The basic idea is there are patterns for developing sites the "drupal" way ("what would drupal do? etc."). Tell us a quick 5 minute recipe for how to put the Drupal "bricks" together. Theming techniques or other things may also be appropriate. Propose it below in comments. Make sure you mention it is for the "lightning round" otherwise it might get confused with a longer presentation.
- The 10 craziest things I've seen people do in Drupal - Jakub Suchy
- State of Drupal 8 - Jon Pugh
- Drush Bash Wrapper - Fernando Reyes
Longer 20-30 Min Talks
Have a topic that needs more then 5 minutes, we have slots of 20-30 minute talks. The basic idea is there are broader subjects or more detailed discussions this is the type of talk you would want to signup for, please mention 20 min talk when posting your talk description and the audience you expect to speak to.
- Writing a Views plugin - Bleen
- WTF is WFT ? - Skwashd
Break Out Sessions
Breakout sessions take place in the "other room" and are more informal, covering any number of topics.
- NYC Camp planning discussion - informal, ad hoc discussion to plan next Drupalcamp
- New 2 Drupal BOF table - New to Drupal? Bring your questions and problems for expert help. If you are new to Drupal and the talks don't apply to you some of us will take a group and talk with you about your issues.
- Other ad hoc breakout BOFs - Have an interest? Start a BOF at a break out table

20-30 minutes on writing a views plugin
First couple minutes on a new module that I've been co-working on (representative image) and then I will use it as an example of writing a views plugin...
Fun for all!!!!
"WTF is WF Tools?"
I'll be in New York next week. I'd be happy to present a session on WF Tools. This will be an extended version of the session I delivered in January.
I'll need 20mins+.
State of Drupal 8
I could do a 5 minute walkthrough demo of Drupal 8, if there is interest.
A ton of great features are already in core, and it's actually quite usable at the moment. I was personally very impressed when I installed it at the drupalcon sprints, so if there are no other presentations, I thought I could just click around and show off some of the new features, from a site building perspective.
A quick summary of my favorite new features:
I will end with a call to action for D8 contrib participation, since none of this is stable yet, the more people that help with bugs and patches the better!

DrupalCon Stories
Since you're going with a story theme...I could to a five-minute about the DrupalCon Stories idea I piloted in Portland and what's happening with it now. http://drupalconstories.org/
Perfect.
That's perfect. Looking forward to it.
I like to propose a short
I like to propose a short 5min talk on a BASH wrapper I made for drush which allows me to install -dev modules without the need to run 'drush rl module && drush dl module-7.1-dev' also works for updating modules.
It will be a short talk and live demo of how I can setup a quick drupal 8 site from the command line.

Hi there, looks like I missed this RSVP (I'm on the Meetup one). Could I be added? toshiro.kida(at)gmail(dot)com. Thanks!
What time is the list printed
Heys
Only just realised my name was incorrect in my profile. Anyone know what time the list of attendees will be printed?

Thanks and Slides
Thanks everyone for a great meetup tonight. You have a great community in NY!
My slide deck available at http://skwashd.github.io/drupal-nyc-jun2013/ and the source is on github too. There is a bunch of links to the modules in the slide deck.
If you want to install WF Tools, I recommend you start with the example profile.
