I don't know if this is a g.d.o issue or an ny-specific one, but I just added the ical feed to my calendar, and I see a few issues with it. Any chance these could be fixed?
- No location info.
- No link to the event on g.d.o.
- Inaccurate time for some events: see http://groups.drupal.org/node/56688 -- it's coming in as 2:30pm-12:00am in gcal.
- Incomplete: I'm only seeing the first two events in gcal when there are six listed in the block on g.d.o.

Huh? I didn't intend to tag my post at all. I was just trying to alert whomever (I guess you) that there's a problem with the ical feed. "Create Discussion" seemed like the way to do it, but perhaps not...

In general, I find drupal's ical support -at least as it pertains to google calendar interop- to be spotty. It seems that there's a rewrite of the whole FeedAPI system into Feeds thats in the pipe for D7, but I don't see iCal support in that yet either.
Are we really going to wait for D7 to fix this?
Short answer: yes, probably.
This (iCal feed implementation on gdo) has been an issue for a while with not a lot of forward motion; given the lack of issue ownership here and some of the other minor problems still unresolved on gdo, it's highly unlikely this is going to be dealt with since, as jakemonO already pointed out, FeedAPI is now Feeds, and gdo I bleeve is primarily still using FeedAPI.
When we do update this however, I'm hoping be able to add single events to iCal (or any cal) without having to subscribe the entire feed to your calendar. This is especially needed for adding a single event from another group when you don't want the whole firehose. (eg. you are visiting New York and only want to add the event/s that occur/s while you are here.)
