Support questions

Hi everyone,

I am working on a site which will, more likely than not, use the domain access module to manage content across the primary and subdomains and one question I had is how do you migrate a site that may be set up on dev.domain.com (and subsequent test.dev.domain.com to *.dev.domain.com) to domain.com (and subsequent test.domain.com and *.domain.com)? Any help and/or advice on this would be really helpful.

Is there a way to check if a file or files have been uploaded in a content type? I'm trying to determined if a picture has been uploaded.

I have tried to check if a filefield contains a value, but I am getting an error message that my argument #2 is not an array in the cck content.rules.Inc file.

Any hints? How can I do that with php?

I have a pretty basic question, that I can't find answered anywhere.
I'm converting and drupal-ising a video artist website http://www.soft-science.org/mayeri.html
How do I format the page layout?
This page: http://www.soft-science.org/stories.html - has images at the top, no problem, then a single column paragraph, no problem, then a two column area at the bottom with PRESS in one column and CREDITS in the other. I don't know how to do that.

I have the need for a site where I can define access to individual nodes by user. In this scenario, access by permission or roles is not finite enough. Node_Access has this ability. But when I want to create a view to display the node available to a given user, View's Access setting overrides the permission and roles settings in Node_Access. There is a similar module, Content Access that tries to solve a similar problem.

I apologize about asking these questions in this group, but it seems these issues are not being addressed in the issue queue for the module. I'm hoping some of the veterans here could easily answer these for me.

Sorry for the newbie question.

I've been working on a website for our company for a couple of months now from the hosted server, but have not set up the domain name yet, so the only way to find the site is via the IP address.

But in the final stages, I need to have the domain name set up to test some of the features (SSL, Google analytics, etc...).

Anyone have any idea how to embed a JS type hyperlink into a Taxonomy (vocabulary) 'Help Text' - which is the bit of text presented to a user in a node edit form under the taxonomy select term dropdown. What I'm trying to do is embed a 'More Help' type link which will generate a modal frame or popup to link to some other site content to give more detailed help to users when selecting taxonomy terms (eg, offer descriptions etc).

I'm trying to import a podcast using Feed API. I'm pretty sure I have all of the right modules activated. The Audio node type in Open Publish is using Emfield so it should receive audio from Feed API.

I created the FEED, input the URL, deselected "refresh feed on creation", select PROCESSORS and make the "node type of feed item:" = AUDIO.

When I attempt to MAP the parsed feed to my AUDIO node it shows me what it has found in the feed (including the mp3), but does not allow me to map to the audio emfield.

In the Description of Available Mappers, it only shows:

(node module)

I've been playing with the Open Publish (OP) profile since 1.5, but have been working heavily with it since 1.6. In the middle of that version, 6.15 of core was released. I have never upgraded Drupal core before. I have read the tutorial on Drupal.org about upgrading ("HowTo: Updating Drupal 6.x to newer minor version"), but since my many months of work are tied up in this site, I want to make sure I don't destroy it all in a moment!

I am a relative newbie and have been reading up on the different types of search available to Drupal. I am most interested in faceted search for my particular needs. Solr seems great but,as a startup, I have a tight budget so I'm trying to decide between the Lucene API Module or the Faceted Search Module, both of which also seem great, but I have a few questions....
