Pizza sounds awesome to me!
Mike
any vegans in the house?
I'm not vegan, but I'll bring some of the vegan chili I made last night just in case someone shows up that can't eat cheese.
Also, please make sure there is enough pizza without meat, I think there are a bunch of vegitarians in the group.
(sorry to get so specific, but I had this issue at a meeting recently) This means full pizzas without meat, not a pizza with half meat and half cheese/veggies.
see everyone tomorrow.
Pizza on Pando
I'll order a few pizzas for the meetup for tomorrow, on Pando. Thanks for the Chili offer since vegan pizza is rarely appetizing, IMO. Do we need some bowls and spoons for that?
i guess so
Yep, we'll need some spoons and bowls. Can you grab some from the pizza place?
jacob, you have any at mnn we can use?
Ok Will be there at 7
Is there any type of building access or sign in required?

WOOPS! sorry folks
So, it looks like I forgot to check my calendar. I have another meeting that I must attend at 6:30. I will get to the meetup if I can, but I'll be late and probably without chili. :(
Topic for the meetup.. ideas?
Does anyone want to talk about something in particular at the next meetup?
I have a few ideas that I'd like to throw out
1) What do people use for content-types? How many content types do you use?
2) Webforms.. specifically email forms. We all use them eventually.. what are people using.. experiences...
3) Views... Anyone have any cool views (from the views module) that you'd like to share.. cool themes, functions, etc.
I've been immersed in views this past week and I don't usually spend so much time in the module.. freakin' cool module although I've hit a few walls.... what about everyone else?
Those are my ideas.. what about all of you?
site administration?
database issues?
load issues?
multi-site installs?
theme development?
module development?
Do we need another Drupal camp?
Project management?
User management?
File management? (could be good)

Ideas
I'd like to learn more about multisite installs and views in particular.
proposed agenda
Here's my suggestion for an agenda, I'm going to keep it small since I think shorter and more focused meetings are better than ones that try to touch on too many issues.
Introductions
Brief discussion of upcoming changes in drupal (code freeze for next version; change of core content types/handling)
Brief conversation on the possibility of doing another NYC Drupal Camp in October
Someone (jacob?) giving a nice detailed overview of the Views module and how it interacts with CCK content types (and others).
Go home
Contemplate
Some ideas to add:
Contemplate module and its interaction with CCK and Views
Is Drupal kludgy?
Mike
Is anyone using Contemplate?
That would be my first question, who is using contemplate? I've seen it.. great idea but still cvs..
Are you using it? what to talk about your experiences?
It works with 4.7.
It works with 4.7. It's a little idosyncratic though. I finally moved to 4.7 and am a convert to cck, views and contemplate. If you know me, you know I never have a problem with talking ;) If we have time, I'll discuss it a bit.
Mike
maybe next meeting?
From my perspective this sounds like too much for one meeting.
Also, it seems that to have a productive discussion of the contemplate module we all would need a solid background/understanding of both the views module and cck module.
Especially with the pending changes in the next version of Drupal, I think that having a meeting entirely focused on views and cck is the best thing to do.
I agree
Focusing on CCK and Views could be good. I'm interested in Views.. we covered CCK last month though.
What about other people?
CCK and Views, sound good??
didn't realize
Sorry, I did not know that CCK had been covered in the last meeting.
Maybe then a brief overview of CCK and most of the time spent on views?
Sounds good to me
Anyone else want to comment?
Nice seeing and meeting you
Nice seeing and meeting you guys at the meetup.
Thanks for the grub, Scott.
I liked that there was more of a focus this time around, and I think when one person presents it helps.
Let's keep up the conversation.

Learned Alot
It was my first meeting with the group and I think it was a great get together. I learned some really cool stuff about views and it was good getting together with some other people interested in Drupal. So far, all of my pursuits have been individual and it was nice being able to ask questions and meet other people with the same interests.
awesome...
I'm glad the group was helpful... Maybe Mike's talk on Contemplate would be good for next month??

Sounds good. Of course,
Sounds good. Of course, some things move very fast in Drupal land, and we may see something like the Contemplate module become part of CCK itself -- so let's stay aware.
It'd be good to tailor your talk around a particular project of yours so we can all see what the need was, and how you addressed the need.
