Can I give a talk?

MKorostoff's picture

I'd like to give a talk called "You can do that with Views??" demonstrating some strategies for pushing Views up to (and maybe a little past) its anticipated usage. Mostly aimed at site builders with a few nuggests thrown out for developers. Possible topics to include:

  • Social media buttons with pure views
  • Using aggregation setting to generate rich, dynamic menus and tag clouds
  • User-specific drop down menus
  • How to give your users the power the build arbitrary lists of content
  • Why ever node_load() again when you can get_view_results_with_arguments(), a tiny module I wrote that has changed the way I code

I can tailor to the time/interest allotted making this a lightning talk or a full-on presentation.

Thanks!

Thanks for your presentation on the Facebook integration with Views. That helps me out a lot. At a future meetup, I'd love to see the strategies that you mentioned above.

You're most certainly

@MKorostoff - didn't see your comment until just now. If you want to give a 10-15 min talk that might be a good compliment to what Ray is presenting.
