After focusing our energies on the (Get Involved in) Core Sprint at NYC Camp last month, the next NYC Drupal Ladder sprint is happening Sunday, August 11th. The sprints so far have been a lot of fun, with people diving into the issue queues and swapping dev tips. Come join us!
What's a Drupal Ladder?
The Drupal Ladder project is part of an initiative to help Drupal users get started learning and contributing back to Drupal. The stated goal is to get "just" 1% of active users on drupal.org to contribute to Drupal core by 2014. This is a great way to learn about and contribute to Drupal 8.
What's the plan?
The next rung on the Drupal Ladder is "Review and revise patches." We'll be doing some independent or small-group study and then tackling the issue queues.
Want to do something else? (Write a guide to installing Drupal 8 on MAMP, contribute a Drupal Ladder lesson, make other improvements?) Also cool. Go for it.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
What to do in advance
- Sign up for an account on drupalladder.org. It's free and quick. Promise.
- Pack a laptop
- Event signup (at the bottom of this post) isn't required but is heartily appreciated.

The event will run from 2:00pm-5:00pm on Sunday, August 11.

Sorry - can't make it this month
Too much to do, too little time. Brand-new granddaughter, a couple new freelance projects, and lots of (unpaid) OT at The Economist ... next month, I hope :-)
