Come and join us for a great day of sprinting on Saturday, January 17! We will be taking part in the Drupal Global Sprint Weekend 2015: https://groups.drupal.org/node/447258 #SprintWeekend.
This is currently a single, all day event. (If there's enough interest/volunteer help, we can expand it to include Sunday as well.)
What is a sprint? https://drupal.org/sprints
Everyone is welcome to join in; people new to drupal or experienced devs, any ages. We can find tasks for every skill set and skill level. We will split into pairs if possible and work on Drupal core issues.
Please remember to bring your laptop ;)
For new folks, there will be help for setting up local development environments. If possible, make an account on Drupal.org, install git before coming and git clone Drupal 8 core. If you want to set up your environment before the event, please check out: https://drupal.org/dev-env.
We will be meeting at Phase2 Technology:
330 W 38th Street
Suite 1405
New York, NY 10018
Please remember to click the sign up button below! It helps us out with food planning for the day :D

Drupal setups on Linux
I'll be packing along a new Lenovo laptop I picked up on the cheap which is currently running Debian. Perhaps a couple of other Linux heads can give me a pointer or two on proper configuration of a fully working Drupal setup?
You can't have a left brain without a right brain. Keep them both going!

You've signed up for Playday
@eleanor_wai: You seem to have signed up for the playday. Did you intend to sign up for the Sprint event instead?

Just an FYI: I signed up
Just an FYI: I signed up people who were on this Play Day list (https://groups.drupal.org/node/453583) to this event. You might receive an email indicating that you've been added to the sign up for the sprint. This is so that we can get a proper head count for food and such.
