Looking forward - as always!

Looking forward as always to the meetups.

I could present how I built a publishing workflow using Rules Module that enforces/facilitates an editorial review and then publishes and unpublishes content by date and time.

Drupaling in NYC since 2009!

interesting

I recently did something similar (and proposed nearly this exact topic as a session for the upcoming drupal camp). I'd love to see how you handled the situation

Shall I add this to the list also?

winston's picture

I'm interested in this too. Any volunteers to hold their session till September? I'd really like to do my Views+relationships one as I think it is newb friendly and I feel like it is something I left "on the table" at the intro session at the camp on Sunday.

modr8 and scheduler modules

decibel.places's picture

modr8 and scheduler modules could do it too, if the requirements are simple - Rules gives you even more control of triggers and actions

Rules rocks, I've been using it since it was Workflow-ng in D5

I like it

kmoll's picture

I would be very interested in that. Loved the meetup last night. Learned alot, thanks to everybody for sharing their knowledge.

Is anybody looking for a

decibel.places's picture

Is anybody looking for a Drupal contract? I am talking to 4 or 5 prospects and cannot be in more than one place at a time. By 8/4 I will probably have taken my pick.

I'm available. I've got a

I'm available. I've got a couple prospects on the fence at the moment. Please feel free to send something in my direction. Check my profile on d.o for link to my site portfolio if need be. I'm pretty new in the NYC group though I've been working with Drupal since 2008. Thanks.

keep this on topic please

I'd like to make a respectful request that you all take the job posts to a different thread? It's really off-topic here.

Would love to---I have no

n00bie Birds of a Feather

... will happen, as always, at the far corner of the room - where we can create a ruckus :)

Bring your questions - and probably get an answer!

RE: n00bie BOF

cool! I'll be there to help stir up the ruckus :) lol

Show off

skyredwang's picture

If there is enough interest, I could show off BeerCloud 2.0 on Android, which added the services below:

flag.flag
flag.is_flagged
comment.save
comment.loadNodeComments
comment.load
user.login
user.logout

and the newly released Location-3.1 Proximity Search with Views

If you haven't heard about BeerCloud, you can see my case study at Drupal + Services Module + Beer = BeerCloud on Android and iPhone. This is getting drunk 2.0, lol

I'd like to see this :)

I'd like to see this :)

I'd like to do a views relationships presentation

Referencing "What I learned from OpenPublish" as well as material that I prepared, but didn't quite get to in the hands-on drupal day at camp on Sunday.

I think for the new to intermediate site builder this is useful information. Probably about 20 to 30 min.

I would love to see this +

banghouse's picture

I would love to see this + arguments.

that makes two of us

kristianb21's picture

I'm on the same boat with banghouse I'll love to see this too

De Art Is. And always will be.

Makes three of us

Excellent follow on.

Will have to push mine till September

winston's picture

Can't make it till 8 pm (if at all) for this one I'm afraid.

Or you could join me at DrupalCampCT :)

Peter, I'm all about it

orbgasm's picture

Peter, I'm all about it :)

Also, I think Mike would like to present on nginx vs apache (apt-get remove apache2 for those that saw the BoF title at dcnyc8)

I will add it to the free slot once I confirm with him.

Such a cool title

fathershawn's picture

That was such a cool BOF title! I'd like to hear his talk just for the cool title - although I'm sure the content is worthwhile :-)

Drupaling in NYC since 2009!

I'm interested in Nginx as well

winston's picture

Please do add it to the list.

DrupalCampNYC Debrief

ezra-g's picture

Would anyone like to do a debrief of DrupalCampNYC including a discussion of what went well, could be improved, and sharing of information from the camp surveys? I can provide this information and help to lead the discussion.

Also, I unpublished the job description comment and directed the author to http://groups.drupal.org/node/add/job .

Group Leadership Discussion??

winston's picture

Push to September? Or??

I still think it is an open item. I may not make this meetup, but if there is a quorum of current admins this could certainly proceed without...

Can't make it.

robbiethegeek's picture

HTML5 group on g.d.o

jensimmons's picture

I'd like to have an HTML5 Tools / Base Bof to continue the work that started at DrupalCamp.

Thursday?

jensimmons's picture

Wait this is on Thursday August 5? NYC Drupal Meetups have always been on Wednesdays...

Date change was discussed

winston's picture

Date change was discussed here - http://groups.drupal.org/node/83399 and voted on last week.

However, I see that it isn't obvious as we didn't post a separate comment to this thread. Remedying that now.

For anyone reading, yes our normal meetups are first Wed of each month. Our venue had a conflict brought to our attention last week for this month so shifting a day - hopefully this time only.

I had planned to attend, and merely lacked the presence of mind due to unforeseen events. :X
