Meetup

Another Drupal meetup in Old Town Pasadena. The meetup will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 7-9pm. Everyone is invited. Please bring laptops and chargers if you would like to follow along. There will be time for discussion and job announcements.

Please RSVP by signing up below so we know how many to accommodate. Depending on the turn out we may need people to bring chairs. If you can't attend this month's meetup but would like to come to one in the future, we will be hosting meetups on the first Monday of each month.

   Parking: There is free parking after 8pm if you can find a spot on the street. There is also a parking garage across the street. First hour and a half is free and $2/hour after that.

We realize that traffic for people on the Westside is less than ideal so we are working on setting up a live broadcast for this presentation. If there are any companies that would be willing to let us use their WebEx or GoTo Webinar account that would be extremely helpful! There will be a screencast for this presentation, however, we encourage all that can attend to attend.

Our next LA Drupal meetup on the Westside is on November 30, 2010 at the corporate headquarters of at Media Temple in Culver City, CA. The meetup begins at 7:30pm but the doors open a little earlier at 7pm for Users Helping Users, which is a chance for members of the community to help and be helped by others with whatever questions and problems they're having with Drupal. Several of us may be going to a local bar or restaurant after the meetup for a Drupal After Dark.

If you'd like to give a presentation, announce a job position or ask any questions of the group, please leave a comment below and plan to come a few minutes early. If presenting, be sure to bring your laptop (and power and display cables) and whatever else you need.

This event is free – in fact, there will be raffle prizes and food and drinks will be provided – and no RSVP is required. We will have our weekly workshop on Drupal 7 this Wednesday exploring the commerce module. Last week we got all current on Drupal7 beta 2, the commerce module and all the dependent modules. Some of the updates worked with drush others we had to download the traditional way. This week we will add some products and explore views 3.

The Santa Barbara Drupal meetup is meeting again on the 3rd Wednesday of the month on December 15, 2010, at 6:30pm. We're finalizing our venue and will update this event announcement with location information soon.

Hi Everybody,
We had rain last Wednesday so we are starting on Wednesday October 13th at 7pm. I guess it is save to say that we meet every Wednesday unless it rains or there is a general LA Drupal meeting going on that day.
We now have a Drupal 7 beta release and the critical issues are down to 7 today.
Our first presentation will be by Christefano. The title is "Download your site from Drupal Gardens. Add some modules that are not available on Drupal Gardens yet. Views, Rules, and Commerce. Install everything locally and see where the pitfalls are"
