Meetup

You are invited to the next DTLA (Downtown Los Angeles) Drupal meetup on May 17, 2011, We're meeting at the offices of at Oversee.net on May 17, 2011 in Downtown Los Angeles. There will be several presentations as well as open discussions, job announcements and time for networking.

Mobile first blah blah blah, responsive web blah blah blah, design for mobile devices blah blah blah. Bored with all the articles floating around? Come to the Ninjitsu Web Development office on the 5th floor to see some mobile Drupal themes in action. I plan to cover: Drupal mobile approaches (brief overview), contrib themes you can use (and sandboxes), how to build your own mobile first theme. Roll up your sleeve because we plan to dig into some code and show how these themes work.

The monthly Inland Empire Drupal meetup will be held on Thursday, May 12 from 7-9pm. This is a free event and everyone is invited - we have a large venue with plenty of space so if you're in the area please join us! If you'd like to follow along just bring your laptop / charger.

Holy Cow! There is a meetup in Old Town Pasadena this Monday and there hasn't been an event created! Please join us for another Old Town Pasadena Drupal Meetup! The meetup will be held on Monday, May 2, 2011 from 7-9pm. Everyone is invited. Please bring laptops and chargers if you would like to follow along. There will be time for discussion and job announcements.

Please RSVP by signing up below so we know how many to accommodate. Depending on the turn out we may need people to bring chairs. If you can't attend this month's meetup but would like to come to one in the future, we will be hosting meetups on the first Monday of each month.

   Parking: There is free parking after 8pm if you can find a spot on the street. There is also a parking garage across the street. First hour and a half is free and $2/hour after that.

The next Santa Barbara Drupal meetup is two weeks away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at 6:30pm. We are meeting at the offices of RightScale, located at 136 West Canon Perdido St., Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Join us!

This event is free and no RSVP is required, but if you plan to attend please do sign up by clicking the Sign up button below. Knowing how many people are interested in attending can help us better select good locations in the future. People who sign up will also have last minute details (if there are any) sent to them before the meeting.

Mark your calendars for our LA Drupal meetup: Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the corporate headquarters of Media Temple in Culver City, CA.

The meetup will begin at 7:30pm sharp, but the doors will open at 7pm if you want to come early and network or work with a community member on a Drupal related project!

If you'd like to give a lightning talk, presentation, announce a job position or ask any questions of the group, please leave a comment below and plan to come a few minutes early. If presenting, be sure to bring your laptop (and power and display cables) and whatever else you need.

Jassen and I (Intrinsic Web Designs) are hosting a Long Beach meetup at our home Saturday April 9, 2011 from 6pm to 8pm. This is a casual meetup. There will be no formal presentations or schedule. Got module fatigue trying to keep up with the 8900+ modules on Drupal.org? Come to the Ninjitsu Web Development office on the 5th floor to talk about your 3 most favorite modules and why. Modules like CCK, View, Devel, OG or anything in the top 25 most installed modules is off limits, the more obscure the better.

Matt Chapman (matt2000) will be giving a talk about EntityFieldQuery in Drupal 7 and we are open to community lightning talks so come out.
