Getting Drupal Curriculum into 2,000 high schools in 24 months

I have a goal to get a full semester long Drupal based website design curriculum into 2,000 high schools in the next 24 months. To do this I really need some help from others in the Drupal community.

We launched a KickStarter campaign that will allow us to build a full semester long, high school level website design/development course using Drupal. This will also allow us to offer the course and teacher training at no cost to the school. We only have about a week until it’s over and need some help.

Thinking of using Drupal for k-12 district

Hi all, I'm new here..just thought I'd get some opinions on what Drupal can offer to a k-12 school district (10k students). We are currently evaluating CMSs and we're down to Joomla or Drupal. We will be hiring someone to initially create our theme and design our site (bc of time). We have a great deal of knowledge in web design and programming from myself and my coworker, so customizing in the future and integrating with other systems is crucial.

CiviSchool Update - Online forms to update student / family information

Hey folks in K-12 land (especially to the ones in small independent schools):

A quick update on the current status of CiviSchool:

  1. We are rolling out an online form process where parents can maintain and update information on their kid (household, emergency, medical, releases etc). A detailed blog post and screenshots is here: http://civicrm.org/blogs/lobo/civischool-online-forms-update-student-fam...

  2. We've figured out a way to sync CiviCRM and PowerSchool (via autocomm). We'll use it to also load all the family information collected by Drupal/CiviCRM into PowerSchool

  3. Our extended care management, attendance and billing system worked really well this spring semester. It is part of the CiviSchool module

It is also speaks to the quality of community that helps develop, instruct, and support the Drupal project. Without this exceptional and active community, our site would not have been possible.
