Parking
Hi Tom,
My real name has been and was on the master site when I registered for this event, however I just looked and it wasn't listed on the groups site, I've added it just now. So am I ok regarding parking? Been looking forward to this meetup where besides the usual great stuff, I think I owe kaw3939 and in person apology.

Parking
Looking good, Mr. Trager ;)
As a reminder to everyone else, if you want a parking space you need to sign up and have your full real name showing on the sign-up list.
So far only cocogodiva and jhendricks don't meet these requirements. Please also remember that these requirements are established by NJIT.

Working from home tomorrow, so I'll have my car tomorrow night.

Ed's got your back Robbie. But if things don't work out for some reason, i'd be happy to oblige.
If For any reason Ed or Tom can't do it
I'll be glad to drive you.
Can I still sign up for this meeting tonight?
I would love to attend and I would also appreciate a parking spot, if possible.
Thanks, Allan Eldridge

Allan and Ken,
sign-up if you want to attend.
kaw3939 said that he has reserved 15 parking spots. You'll have to talk with him to get another parking spot available.
Ken, you'll have to do the same.
FYI - Sign up is closed for this event
Thanks for your help, Tom. I'll reach out to kaw3939 about a parking spot.
Sign-up only
Since kaw3939 indicated that there was enough room for 20 participants I have signed up allaneldridge1967, kendeg and Kami-kaze. Consider sign-up now closed as I won't be online between now and the meeting.
You will all have to contact kaw3939 regarding a parking spot.
I am bummed but something
I am bummed but something came up last minute and I will have to miss tonight's meeting. I can free up one parking spot if that helps.
Campus Map and Room
Hi,
The room is Fenster Hall 160 and you can just walk in to the building, the room is on the first floor about 1/2 way down the hall.
Here is a list of campus maps and parking maps:
http://www.njit.edu/about/visit/njit-maps.php
If you park in lot 7, Fenster hall is the one that has the sky bridge connecting two buildings together. Fenster hall is the one on the left. Essentially you walk out of lot 7 and away from the street. The building you see in front of you is the campus center and you need to go around it on the left hand side. Then Fenster hall is the 2nd building on your left with the skyway bridge that connects it to the campus center.
Parking
any extra people...
Basically the lot is first come first serve. You need to just park in lot 7 or find street parking that is on the other side of the curb of lot 7. THere are guards everywhere and it is fairly safe around the area.
Bailing Last Minute
I was really hoping to attend this month, but I'm still stuck at work on my last day before vacation and it doesn't look like I'm leaving any time soon. Looking forward to next month.

Thanks for attending!
Thank you everyone for attending and for offering input on what you would like to hear/see and on what you would like present.
Thanks Keith (kaw3939) for hosting. In addition to the facilities, you clearly have a lot to offer the group in terms of ideas, meeting format, etc.
This was a very productive meeting: we now have the outline of an agenda for a few months. Once Ed (EMdash) transcribes his notes, individuals will be able to take ownership of the topics.
While it would be great to keep the group at this number (@20), if even half of you show up for the next meeting it will be successful.
We have a few strong voices in the group so we won't be short of presentations. Of course we should encourage everyone to present as we will all benefit.
Let's continue the discussion of meeting format and order of topics on IRC at #Drupal-NJ. I may be there tonight. But will definitely be there tomorrow.
A great start/Meeting notes
I'm excited about the new space, and the enthusiasm for this first meetup. I hope we continue to grow as a group.
Here's the list I compiled for suggested topics. I have listed the stuff we added to the board, as well as other thoughts taken from the conversation. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Next Meetup
Hi,
I just wanted to let you know that I can do the next meetup on Aug 11; however, I would prefer the meetup to be Aug 12 (Thursday). I need to do some family things out of town and will be traveling till aug 10, so I would like a day to recover from a very long drive and a day back to work.
Thursdays better for me
I can do Aug. 12. Actually, Thursdays are better for me in general -- starting in October I'm going to have a conflict on 2nd Wednesdays. I'd love to be able to come as much as possible since I can tell this group is going to be very helpful for me, but as a newbie I'll defer to the group on scheduling.

Next Meetup
Hi, Keith.
Glad you can make for Aug 11 (second Wednesday of August).
I ran into richbaldwin, EMdash, jzacsh, Bok Choy, jwilde, alexwilde, phunster this past weekend at DrupalCampNYC.
They all agreed it was best to keep the same schedule (second Wednesday of the month).
You might consider having one of your colleagues substitute for you that day.
I'll put out an official notice later this week.
definitely should take a few minutes to discuss
I definitely think we should all have a discussion at the next meetup and solidify what's a good schedule/plan for all of us. I'd say I'm fairly flexible, so long as we don't have to go to Panera :P
Meeting Format
Hi I think we should organize meetings like this:
7:30 - 8:00 - General Business and Setup
8:00 - 8:45 or 9:00 - 1-2 presentations on one of the topics we discussed.
9:00 - 9:30 we should socialize or have a question and answer period for people with problems.
I think a number of people come here, especially students from my class, that will benefit from a little networking / socializing section of the meeting. We could also have the socialization happen at 9:30, but I need to close up and everyone needs to be out by 10:15 or 10:30 when the lot closes.
