Last meetup there was a good show & tell, maybe this time we can talk about the standard modules you download and use right after Drupal Core, CCK, Views, Token & Pathauto. We have a wiki page asking folks to post ideas and whether they were willing to present or asking for someone to tackle the subject. Please go over to here and make your suggestions for topics and discussion topics. There is also a NJ Themers Playday being planned, date has been set May 15. On Wednesday March 17, Forest Mars and Jingsheng Wang
will give a presentation to the New York Linux Users Group titled

This will just be developers and designers hanging out in Manhattan while watching Alice in Wonderland at the IMAX 3D Theater. There will be no talks regarding Drupal unless you have talent or some good beer. j/k

We are just going to watch a great movie and socialize and maybe take over some lounges in Manhattan after. The Movie starts on Friday the 5th and until then we won't know the exact time in which the movie will be showing on the 14th, so we set the time to 6:45pm which is usually the show times for that theater.

In a discussion started in the New York City Group, it was suggested by johnvsc that I organize a Themers Play Day here in Jersey. At the Northern NJ Meetup robbiethegeek agreed it was a good idea. They have both offered to assist me in this endeavor.

Saturday, May 15 is the day I reserved the room.

I assume we'll stick to the same focus since we had to cancel the last meeting.

Proposed focus:

Active coding and mutual assistance on code, themes, and other technical issues. Come get input or help from fellow Drupal users. Show everyone your code or talk about the challenges you are facing. After initial discussion, work in smaller groups including one focused on tacking one or more Drupal 7 bugs.

A "Play Day" is the Themers version of a "hack-a-thon". Come with a question or a project and, well, play. As always, dr00bies are welcome, but don't expect "sessions" or "presentations" ... expect to get your hands, um, dirty?
