Looking for housing, share costs during BADCamp

Hello, I am flying in from LA into Oakland to attend Badcamp and looking for housing offers, or share hotel room, or anything to cut down costs. I think best to rent car at airport (although I am sure it will be expensive to park it in Berkley). Any advice or offers to share would be appreciated.

Thank you so much... to everyone that was involved in making DrupalCampLA happen. The Las Vegas contingent is grateful and owes every one of you a drink at the Double Down Saloon any time you are in Vegas >:]

DrupalCampLA housing offered

Hello,

I have an empty condo near Burbank with a couple beds, couches, and floor space for needy out of town Drupal Campers who can bring their own sheets or sleeping bag, and offer an in-kind trade like parking money at the convention center, or Drupal or Linux or Graphic Design services. (I need a better theme.....)

Post here first so as not to flood my inbox, then if you seem like you are not an axe murderer, I will invite you to call me to make arrangements.

Best,

Matt

Looking to carpool from Vegas

I plan on heading down to LA on Friday from Las Vegas. I was thinking about renting a car but if anyone in the Vegas area is going I would love to carpool with you and help you out with the travel expences. Planning on getting a hotel there so I would need to get anywhere within the vicinity of the LA convention center.

I'm driving Sat and Sun from Long Beach to the camp. Any Long Beach campers need a lift, let me know. I can take 3 others.

May not stay all day Sunday, FYI, but will stay full day Sat, and returning that evening.

Suggestion - Take the trains to DrupalCampLA

(No, I don't work for Metro .. IMHO this is just a good idea) -- I will be taking the trains instead of driving 130 miles roundtrip, hasseling traffic, navigating downtown LA, paying gas and parking, and generally dreading the trip ... I will hop on the MetroLink to Union Station, grab a Redline subway to the "7th & Metro" stop and walk (or take a DASH "Route F" shuttle) a few blocks to the Convention Center for a total cost of $15.50!! A round trip Metrolink ticket entitles you to ride the connecting Redline for free, and DASH is either free with the ticket or less than a buck.
