Edit: Due to holiday, we're meetng Tuesday. Come contribute! The 4th Monday last Tuesday in Long Beach we have meetups ... (usually the 4th Monday to coincide with core office hours).

Join us in Long Beach or meet us online in our google+ hangout. The first few meetups have been fantastic! During each we've contributed patches and/or helped to give back. Want to help? There truly is something for everyone to do.

The next Downtown Los Angeles Drupal meetup is on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 and will be at Droplabs, your FREE Drupal event and coworking space in Downtown Los Angeles. At this meetup, we'll be celebrating the 1 year anniversary of Droplabs, the kickoff of our new Downtown Los Angeles Drupal user group and breakout sessions and an extended Users Helping Users.

After a mouth watering presentation about using Compass/Sass at the LA Drupal meetup in Santa Monica we will get into some of the nitty gritty about using Compass/Sass

The Santa Barbara Drupal meetup is meeting on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, at 6:00pm. The meeting is at the Santa Barbara Hackerspace, located at 158 Aero Camino, Suite A in Goleta. Join us!

This event is free and no RSVP is required, but if you plan to attend please do sign up by clicking the Sign up button below. Knowing how many people are interested in attending can help us better select good locations in the future. People who sign up will also have last minute details (if there are any) sent to them before the meeting.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a community-driven effort whose goal is to focus one day to raise the profile of digital (web, software, mobile app/device, touch screen kiosk, etc.) accessibility and people with different disabilities.

The idea started with a single blog post. On May 9th, people in communities around the world are encouraged to hold a talk/meetup, organize hands-on demos, or plan another activity that brings attention to some aspect of digital accessibility. Follow @GblA11yDay on Twitter and use the #gaad hashtag in your own tweets.

Droplabs is happy to participate in this global event. We will have both Dallas Legan and Larry Hart on-hand to present:

• Dallas Legan is a well-respected member of the Southern California Open Source ecosystem. He has presented on a variety of topics at UUASC, LAMP-SIG, the San Fernando Valley Linux Users Group, the San Gabriel Valley Linux Users Group and SCALE.
• Larry Hart is a longtime member of the San Fernando Valley Linux Users Group. He also happens to be a blind web user and will be imparting both his knowledge and frustrations of using a non-accessible web. We hope this will lead to discussions on how we, as web developers, can create a more usable and accessible web.

Every month we have experts guide our local community, it's always a spectacular lineup of topics and presentations centered around Drupal. Plus we help users answer questions, and resolve issues with solutions surrounding planning, supporting, and developing with Drupal.

Open Q&A, Users-Helping-Users, Lightening Talk Prep: Come learn or teach how to work on Drupal core & contrib issues, a.k.a., give back! Work on your project and collaborate with others. Users Helping Users - bring up a question to the crowd and see how they can help you overcome your latest Drupal roadblock. The coder lounge is our time to come together and work and share ideas. Afterwards, we can go to the Drupal afterdark and network with folks from the main presentation room.

Drupal meetups are officially back in the San Gabriel Valley and are now on the 4th Thursday of each month. Following our reboot of the SGV Drupal group with our Reboot and Drupal After Dark at Intelligentsia on May 17th, we're meeting this time at Il Fornaio in Old Town Pasadena on Thursday, May 31, 2012 from 6:30-8:30pm. Join us!

Drupal meetups are officially back in the San Gabriel Valley. We're kicking off our new series of Drupal After Dark outings and monthly SGV Drupal meetings with a meetup and Drupal After Dark at Intellegentsia Pasadena on Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 6:30-8:30pm. Join us!

There aren't any formal presentations scheduled for this event. We'll be getting together and talking tech and Drupal over some good coffee, food and microbeers. Formal presentations are being planned for our meetups on the 4th Thursday of each month, starting on May 31, 2012.
