Ok ok.. last one of the day. I heard through the grape vine, that some of you still haven't seen or reviewed my session from Drupalcon Munich. This. Can. Not. Be! ;)

I had a really good time presenting with Jakob Persson of NodeOne (wunderkrout), and Mattias Axelsson of Happiness in Stockholm in Munich where we chose to address the many issues around estimation. I think it turned into a "what not to do" more than anything else, and it is FULL of our experiences and tips on how to, and how not to estimate your drupal projects.

Below is a recap of the discussions had at my PM BoFs in Munich this August 2012, and the resources we talked about. Thanks to everyone who came and participated!

As is the case with most of the PM BoF’s I’ve done over the past 4 Drupalcons, the conversation I was most interested in was around lessons learned. I love it when people can discuss where their projects went off the rails, why, what drives them crazy and how we can all learn from those experiences and exchange ideas/solutions.

Has anyone tried Trello? https://trello.com/

We have recently started using it for team development as well as client review of sites close to launch. We love it so far!

I've also got the Android app and it works well on the iPad too.

Our long-term plan is to integrate Trello with our internal project management and time-tracking site (which is in Drupal 6... for now).

Any other great tools people are using?

Though Initiative Owners are doing a fantastic job of keeping up with their individual initiatives, we've recently heard that the community would like more visibility on D8 progress in general. The D8 team of Initiative Owners and its supporters want to make it easier for you to find the most important issues to work on, so we've put together a summary page that we'll be updating it every two weeks, and more frequently on an as-needed basis.

Part of my role at Gorton Studios is to review RFPs and evaluate if a project and client is a good match for our team. Recently folks embarking on their new web project have asked me what should be included in a RFP. They often have never been through this process before. I have given them my recommendations but I really want to be as complete as possible - solid RFPs helps us all with our work. Here is my list:

• Organization Overview – who are you and why are you doing this project

• Project Goals & Outcomes

• Desired Technical Features
