Does anyone know of a "Time Slot Sign Up" module, that could be used for volunteer members to sign up for hourly time slots for stuff needing doing at our upcoming DrupalCamp?

I did one in Perl a dozen years ago, and use it now and then for SCALE and such, for booth table manning. It's extremely flexible.

Once again I find myself discovering new Firefox extensions to aid my web site development, many based upon Firebug, a MUST HAVE extension. "Drupal For Firebug" is what I will be trying next. Any hints for what to do with it first? Any tips?

Please share what other FireFox Extensions you use, and in a month, I will publish a summary in our Wiki.

To add value to my post, below are some of the extensions I use, or new ones I just found and will be trying out.

Is the a way to embed blocks from my drupal site to another site (drupal or otherwise)?

For example, if I had a block on my site that displayed a slideshow of contributed photos (using views slideshow) is there some way for me to allow others to embed it into their sites using embed code, similarly to how Youtube allows us to embed their videos?

From what I find on drupal.org, Views does not work with external databases. I have a multisite setup but do not want to share the content tables, although I do want a View on the top domain across the subdomains' content.

(I have a workaround by manually copying and pasting links to selected subdomains' content in a new content type on the top domain when I want to display a block on the top domain, but I will have to constantly maintain and update it.)

Any good choices for PDF generation?

How did all of you learn and become well versed on basic website/ design and development in Adobe Dreamweaver/Photoshop/InDesign/etc? I've been paying an arm and a leg lately for a designer and I would like to learn how to do it myself.

Does anybody know of any free web design/development classes in the Southern California area or even hosted webinars/videos on html/css/coding basics?

I'm writing a module and looking to save some user preferences in the user's session. The settings would not need (or want) to persist after logout. I looked, but didn't find a Drupal API for this. Is there an API or convention for how to do this (and not conflict with another module)?

I have a general question about stress testing a site. How do you guys do it? I am building a site under less-than optimal conditions and I want to know what the fail point will be.
