Hi everybody. We want to tell more about the London Drupalkon for ukrainian. Who among you has visited London Drupalkon? Maybe you can tell us a little about it? Perhaps you know the Ukrainians, who can tell us about Drupal in New York? Also, we always welcome your news and press releases!

There are 1643 of us and we got a lot going on. We have playdays, and happy hours, and camps, and DrupalCon planning meetings, beginners training sessions, a lecture series being planned, and I think some people are even doing just Drupal outings that have nothing to do with websites, just common interest. In short, we are awesome.

We are also huge and distributed. And it is tough to keep tabs on all you wonderful people.

As an outcome of discussion on our Drupal Camp mailing list (https://lists.mayfirst.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/drupalcampnyc) a separate group on g.d.o has been initiated (http://groups.drupal.org/nyc-unconference-organizing) for organizing unconference events in NYC.

On March 25th I will be in your lovely city for about a week and I would love to meet some of you, or to visit with any local Drupal agencies in the city. Currently I live in Portland OR and my clients are National and Global.

I have talked to a few of you about this, but I want to put this out there officially. Here is a quick rundown of what I have in mind.

Find and Share Rides to Drupal Camp Western Mass: http://www.ridebuzz.org/drupalcampma

Drupal Camp Western Mass has partnered with Ridebuzz to help people share rides to the event as part of an effort to reduce emissions and costs by traveling together. Please post your rides offered or needed. Ridesharing is a fun way to connect with others in the Drupal community. It's shaping up to be a fun and well attended event in the beautiful, hip & happening Pioneer Valley. Look forward to seeing you there!

Hey NYC,

We, ThinkDrop, would like to offer our space for the Drupal 7 release party. Here's what we were planning: http://www.drupal7releaseparty.org/united-states/release-party-thinkdrop

Our space can hold 50+ people; 80 is probably close to cap. There is a great bar across the street, Matt Torrey's, for overflow...Drupal Block Party. We can talk to Matt to give him a heads up, too. I'm sure he'd be thrilled.

I don't think there's a formal process for becoming a group organizer for groups.drupal.org/nyc, but I assume that it should involve a public post to the group to request the status, so here goes:

I'd like to be added as a group organizer.

There are already six organizers (winston, ezra-g, orbgasm, forestmars, jredding & tresler).

As an active member of the group, and as one of the people taking the lead in organizing the NYC camps (or whatever we're calling them now), it would be useful for me to be able to edit events and tweak the layout of the group pages.
