October 2008 meetup
So lets get the show on the road. What topics do you guys want to discuss/present at the next meetup?
So far proposed is: NYC Community Skillshare Idea: Subversion for Drupal ( http://groups.drupal.org/node/15238 )
Also I've met a pretty cool guy that is sold hardcore on Ruby on Rails. Since we had a very nice joomla presentation few months back, i wonder if you guys would like to also hear about RnR.
There are tons of other fun topics and things to show off at the next meetup. so lets see what you guys are craving.

I've posted this before but I think the title didn't fetch much interest, maybe a title change will perk some interest. The original post is here LILUG.org looking for subject for their October meeting, I suggested Drupal
I would prefer that comments be left here after reading the other, I don't think it would be fair to repost the whole thing.
Thanks
Wes

LILUG.org looking for subject for their October meeting, I suggested Drupal
I was at a meeting of Long Island Linux Users Group (http://lilug.org) at Farmingdale college last night and they were looking for a topic for their October (14th) meeting. I suggested a presentation on Drupal. While I'm bullish (if you will) on Drupal I don't feel that my skill level is up to giving a presentation. Would any one, two or more of you like to offer to give it? The meetings are from 8-10pm and the Farmingdale campus is convenient to the LIRR station if anyone needs transport to and from the city. I can help with that too, (pick up and drop off).

time to decide... what do you guys want to do for the next meetup :)
i personaly am going to try to do some of this: http://groups.drupal.org/node/14205 ; in time for the next meetup which will happen 1 month from now (~ 2 weeks from the drupalcon)
What would you like the agenda for the next meetup to be?
worth noting that the next meetup will be just 2 weeks after the camp, so we can discuss the camp as well as doing presentations.
Should the group chip-in for snacks and drinks?
What should the NYC Drupal Group do about leadership?
August NYC Drupal Meetup - Theming 101
The next meetup will be held from 6 to 9pm August 27th at Mansueto, 7 World Trade Center / 250 Greenwich St., 29th Fl.. To sign-up just click the "sign-up" button at the bottom of the full post. Make sure that you have your real name in your profile when you sign-up.
Oleg also created a chipin link to allow members to easily donate money to the group for things like snacks at the meetups and other stuff the group needs.
The meetup agenda, like everything that happens with DrupalNYC, is up to you and will be determined based on your comments and suggestions. Please offer topics you'd like to present on or presentations you'd like to see.

To promote continued growth of our local community i would like to start providing some "free" stuff to the group. I havent identified just what is it that we need to help us grow, but lets not have this put a stop to our plans.
Here are some of the things that i believe may/will be useful for our group:
