Help support LA Drupal, Drupal Camp LA, and local Drupal community efforts by purchasing and wearing a commemorative shirt celebrating the 2008, second annual, community training event. Hundreds of you registered and attended, and we're proud of the event but looking forward to help make 2009 a reality we're looking to make sure folks have ways to support the group and purchasing our commemorative apparel will help do that.

come checkout the new-ish SoCal Drupal group - it's been revamped. like totally. I've redone the homepage and added a "recent" tab. PLUS, I've added "locales" & "skills" that allow for better categorization of posts.
why? as I see it the main goal of the group is twofold:
- to help users in SoCal without formal groups to connect
- to help existing formal groups to find new users and more easily share information with each other, especially events.
Drupal videos on the net - Another great link
One last thing -
For those who don't already know or have not yet seen them -
There are Drupal Video Tutorials on the net that will help you get a jumpstart
in Drupal that are EXCELLENT if you want to check them out.
They are the Drupal Art Lab series by Elliott Rothman.
By the way - You will NOT find these on the Smashing Magazine Drupal Developers Toolbox List -
And honestly - They probably should be.
On there you will find Theming with ZEN for those wanting to get a small video tutorial on that.

Chapman University ACM
I'm currently a member of the Ubuntu California and a junior at Chapman University in Orange, California. I'm currently helping to bring back my school's ACM chapter, and have begun setting up this year's schedule. I'm trying to have a few nights per month dedicated to different events, such as contributing to Mozilla and Ubuntu, movie nights, and presentations. I'd like to have one speaker per month arrive from different aspects of the community to present about topics they love.
