At DrupalCampLA I presented two sessions on Project Management Site, which is a Drupal site that I configured for Project Management. I created the demo site to show project managers that Drupal is a far superior program than many PM applications.

At the end of the first session I promised to list the installed modules. Here is a link to that list:

A representative from the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council we be speaking to their needs for a website. I believe this is the opportunity we have been waiting for to step up to the plate and show the world what we've got.

Looking forward to a healthy turnout for feedback and infrastructure for this endeavor.

CommunityBuildrs is a group created for people who are working to build online communities. The discussion is oriented toward soliciting participation, monetizing content, and growing a community. It is not a Drupal-specific group though there is a Drupal bias in general. Please attend and bring your thoughts and experiences to share with the rest of us!

Meeting Details

Part One:

Delegate roles and responsibilities for Drupal CampLA. Crystal, the Doyenne of the Event, will take names of those willing to help with organizing, speaking, and plain elbow grease.

Part Two:

get a focus group on Event Aggregation started. This is a specific branch of a much larger entity, social networking sites which raise awareness and generate their own capital.

Gus will lead this discussion.

<p>Joe &#38; Heather D&#8217;Augustine presented their case to the group, how to market and generate revenue for their new film, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0790722/">One Night With You</a>.</p><p>Joe has recently started a blog, <a href="http://filmforno.com">filmforno</a>.</p><p>They are looking at what options and possiblities Drupal can offer a filmmaker in the new world of digital distribution.</p>

Identify and assign development of hieracrchy and creation of content on ladrupal.org which reflects our groups' directions and interests. Crystal is the point person on this topic.

Through the discussion raised by Joe & Heather D'augustine's talk, creating a channel as a filmmaker, look to create a distribution which is geared towards community building and revenue generation.

UPDATE: I've cross-posted this over at Drupal Dojo since there seems to be a few folks interested in collaborating and/or learning about this project.

In checking the status of the Upcoming.org module (http://drupal.org/project/upcomingorg), I noticed some familiar names from our Los Angeles group inquiring and/or offering assistance. Being that we've discussed this type of integration for some projects (ladrupal.org, local/media portal), maybe we can help KarenS resuscitate and expand the scope of this module (integrating additional event/ticketing portals)?

This will take up the first hour of the meeting.</p>

Gus is going to head up the meeting, as I am going to be away in honor of my first wedding anniversary.

It will be a scaled back meeting again. Gus will very casually head up a round table discussion of the following points:

1) Taking on new web/consulting business

Does a team of local(qualified) developers exist? If so, how to organize them.

2) Developing, utilizing, providing local/media-centric tools and solutions -

This date is the last Sunday of the month. I think we should host it then. I will mention that I will not be able to attend, as it is my wedding anniversary. I know that a meeting held on that day will be well attended. Also it seems that there is a lot to talk about, and a committee or two to be formed per Gus's and and thund3rbox's thoughts,
