Help pick the next DrupalCon city for 2012
The DrupalCon North American Regional Organizing Group is looking for input from us, the Drupal community, to help pick the location for DrupalCon North America being scheduled for 2012 (and beyond). They have put together a brief “straw poll” intended to gauge community interest about various cities that have been suggested as potential good locations by our event management company. Vote however you wish, but I'd like to point out that the list does already have a few West coast cities, like Las Vegas, and many of us wouldn't mind to see DrupalCon nearby again.

Hello,
I'm a very green, newbie, Drupal user. I come from mostly Wordpress experience and I professionally focus on a design/development approach (estevancarlos.com). I'm wondering if anyone would be willing to tutor me on Drupal. Mostly help address some question for a personal Drupal project I am undertaking. I'm in the Hollywood area. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Read moreOverriding the User Registration Form
Hi all,
I have a bit of a problem that you might be able to help me with. I am using the content profile for users to create a profile and expose most of the fields created with it on the user registration form. I am running into a problem with the administration of users as I have multiple names for a single person. I have the username that the user logs in with, a legal name, that is only seen by the logged in user and any administrators, and an artist name that is used on the publicly viewable profile page. My problem is that when an administrator want s to either moderate, block or delete a user, he has to visit the profile, get the artists username, head to the user administration and search for the username there.

By default, there are 18 zoom levels. I'm wondering if anyone has got experience with limiting the number of zoom level to a smaller number (e.g. 8) ?
I searched around and found that there are ways to control the maximum zoom level and the minimum zoom level in google map documentation page: http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/reference.html
but can't figure out how to control these from drupal.

I would like to see the discussions move above the fold, or at least closer to it. I think that we can eilminate the Upcoming and Jobs blocks as they are repeated in the right sidebar. If we could do that, tighten up the Wiki and Poll blocks to 5 or 6 items, and somehow shrink the lead block, perhaps by putting the links inline instead of in a list, I think that the page would be more effective.
I think that the discussions are too far down the page.
