During this two-day intensive, you will learn just how much you can do by installing and configuring Drupal's contributed modules. By the time the class is finished, you will have built a mock client site that includes common, dynamically controlled requirements like: 

• FAQs
• custom member profiles
• an events calendar and listings
• a photo gallery
• user rights management
• comment moderation
• editorial workflows

In the process, you'll learn about: 

The next NYC Drupal Ladder sprint is happening Sunday, January 26th, 2014. It is part of the Drupal Global Sprint so we will be contributing in solidarity with thousands around the world. The sprints so far have been a lot of fun, with people diving into the issue queues and swapping dev tips. Come join us!

What's a Drupal Ladder?

There will be people of all skill levels, and backgrounds that are generally helping one another and getting assistance with issues. Even if you are new come out and ask questions and in a couple of events you will be answering other's questions I promise.

In three days, participants will become comfortable in Drupal site building and will be ready to tackle their own custom project. Students will learn how to manage media, build calendars and complex, dynamic queries of content by selecting and configuring the most popular modules.

This course is suitable both for users who are new to Drupal and those who want to broaden their Drupal skills. Participants will also review Drupal's block system and using taxonomy to categorize their content.
