Heartbeat: Theming functions?

Hi,

I'm looking for some functions/hooks to alter the html output of a heartbeat stream.

Normally, the heartbeat module creates a lot of DIVs for a heartbeat stream.

The HTML Output is something like this:

<

div id="heartbeat-stream-publicheartbeat" class="...">

<

div class="heartbeat-messages-wrapper">

<div class="heartbeat-message-block">
  <div id="beat-item-1">
    ###MESSAGE###
  </div>
</div>

<div class="heartbeat-message-block">
  <div id="beat-item-2">
    ###MESSAGE###
  </div>
</div>

Heartbeat stream as content element on a panels page?

Hi folks,

to log user activity on a community site I'm using the heartbeat module. I wrote a custom module to utilize heartbeat functions. I tried using the Views module with the heartbeat views integration but that's not as flexible as I need it to be. I'm testing my configuration with the "Public Heartbeat Stream" which comes with the heartbeat module (/heartbeat/publicheartbeat). Everything seems to work the way I want it to.

What I need now is to integrate the public stream into a panels page (panels module). And that's were I'm stuck right now :(. How can I do this?

Reference: list of the most useful social networking modules

I think that it would be nice to have a list of the most useful modules for social networking sites. groups.drupal.org/social-networking-sites has a very short list of useful modules on its home page. I think it would be a great idea to expand the list.

Integrating XMPP for a chat server and IM features.

Greetings expert developers. I've been a drupal hobbyist for about one year and am quite hooked. Recently I decided it would be valuable to enhance my site with the addition of chat room and IM features. After some research and predictable frustrations, I came to the conclusion that going with XMPP might be the best practice for my use case. My site is dedicated to improving world-wide quality of life and promoting peace. It is my understanding there is a sizable learning curve with XMPP.

Creating Groups with Drupal

I am trying to create a group which has similar features to http://www.amazee.com/node/6730/wall. I am doing it with organic groups and 80% of the functionality can be done out of the box this this module. My questions to advanced devs would be:

  1. Do you recommend using any other module besides organic groups?
  2. In organic groups if you view the discussions page of a certain group, it shows threads the amount of comments in (). How would you do the feature like in the link above to allow multiple comments showing up on the "wall"?

Best way to enable triple tags

Hi there! New to Drupal. I need help.

What module(s) or resources are best to help me enable triple tags, where:
1. Each tag is composed of a subject, predicate, and object.
2. The subject, predicate, and object can be chosen by users from specific nodes on my site. Each field can suggest nodes as you type.
3. Two nodes with the same name can be differentiated by an ID or something.

My goal is to link my nodes into a linked graph that can be queried by something like views. I want to display the relationships between nodes (the graph).

Any of you able to match IP address to City in China with modules such as geouser?

Hey all of you in China...

I thought this might be the best way to start a discussion on our websites in China being able to find a user's location. I have seen many sites in China such as websites with classifieds, real-estate, etc. that automatically know that you are in Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, etc. However, with Drupal, I have never been successful at doing so.

Architecting a Good Forum

I've been debating the best approach for setting up forms. I've spent some time reviewing modules including OG Forums, OG Panels, Advanced Forum, Core Forum module, Views, Panels, Taxonomy. Reviewed many sites, researched issue queues, and questioned the good folks on IRC. Now I'd like to start the build and I was hoping someone would eyeball my approach and see if it was the best approach or if I should employ another method. This would be invaluable for saving time, avoiding change management hassles, or having to redesign in the short term.

Expected Use Case:

Single login-less or one-time login links

Hi all,

I have a Drupal question you might have some insight on. I am working on a drupal site and some of the changes require approval from other members of the company. These members are always going to be changing depending on the area of responisbility. Additionally the team decided that they would rather not have these members log in to the site as the amount of lost passwords, etc. might become a larger issue. The links are sent via email to various people only to LOOK AT but not change existing content and how it would appear on the page or section.

Creating groups with 2 types of members: core members and fans

How can I create a group on drupal that includes core group members (such as members of a music band) and fans of that group? The group would help core members organize among themselves (set a gig date for example). It could also let fans communicate with the band and among themselves.

Would using modules "organic groups" and "organic groups subgroups" work? I'm thinking core members would be a organic group and fans would be a subgroup.

Thanks in advance. I hope this is a good place to post this type of question as I couldn't find a group for OG.

    Facebook Integration possible ?

    I was wondering how facebook integration works with a drupal site. I am trying to evaluate the fbconnect module and I know I have to make some modifications to make it work with drupal 5.x as my Cougar Women dating site is a drupal 5.x site. I would like to know if it is worth pursuing a facebook integration. How will that work being that a facebook user's profile will not contain all the necessary data points I need to have which are applicable to my site.

    Organic Groups Admin - Suggestions

    I am building a large social network with Organic Groups. I was wondering if people had suggestions for a membership admin interface? I've prowled through the modules and have made some views / panels that sort of do the trick. It would be nice to have one "admin home" area for OG where you could do various group admin tasks. My current approach is to use panels/views and cobble one together for the site admins. Thanks for any input.

    Onboarding module to manage common onboarding tasks for new users on social networking sites

    Effective onboarding is an important key to helping new users to a website get integrated. A great deal of time and money is spent by major social networking sites to optimize their onboarding process.

    I'm proposing that we build something similar for Drupal. The module would provide a number of configurable forms common to onboarding flows and handle pulling new users through the flow.

    A short list of forms I'm planning on adding include:
    * Fill out essential info for their profile
    * Upload a picture
    * Join groups
    * Follow people

    Searching for the right search

    Greetings everyone, here are the use cases that I am hoping will help me select the best search modules to implement in my build:

    1. External Search: Someone searching on google.com enters search term(s), and content from my site is referenced.
      Here is the content I would like to be discoverable for these kinds of searches.
      • Specified node types regardless if they are group nodes or post nodes.
      • User membership (similar to how a facebook member is referenced in google)
