Drupal Camp NYC 9
Time to start planning the next DrupalCampNYC!
Forest made a good point at the meetup last night, that it's probably too late now to have another camp in 2010 - December is pretty much useless for events, and November is too short notice. So shall we plan on late January? Ideally we could do an 'intro camp' one Saturday two weeks before the main camp.
How about (subject to venue availability) an intro camp on Saturday the 15th of January, and a camp on Saturday the 29th of January?

While organizing the last DrupalCampNYC the idea was raised of having a dedicated intro to Drupal camp for people new to Drupal. It now seems like a good time to start the ball rolling on this.
The things to consider:
<

Drupal Gardens: Drupal 7 SaaS - BOF
Drupal Gardens is Acquia's Drupal 7 SaaS product.
Hosted and maintained Drupal - similar to Wordpress.com
It is promising, but is it ready for commercial use? There are already 10K+ DG sites!
Limitations such as no Calendar/Event modules are restricting its use, but it will surely grow in its capabilities in time.

The final session schedule is now posted!
At this point, we're making corrections only for glaring errors such as missing information, or presenters who are unable to attend a scheduled session.
Sadly, some presenters were unable to attend and we had to drop a few great sessions. Luckily, we got 2 additional sessions from strong community contributors, including a panel on the Drupal.org redesign and a presentation on "Designing for the Undesignable" by Jeff Robbins from Lullabot.

Last time was so much fun, let's do it again! Our home away from home, House of Brews will be the venue again. For those of you who have not attended the DrupalNYC Happy Hour, House of Brews has an incredible beer selection, including gluten-free and organic options. They will have happy hour specials (if you get there early enough) and we are working on getting some other specials.

Volunteers for DrupalCampNYC8
We need volunteers to help out with the camp! There are going to be 345 people, 345 t-shirts, pizza, and over 50 amazing sessions, BoFs and sprints.
If you can help out please edit this wiki page (you'll need to be signed in) and add your name next to a task. Only people that have registered for the camp are able to volunteer; unfortunately the 345 person cap that we have from the venue must include volunteers.
Make sure that we can reach you through your Groups.Drupal.org user profile - Hally will be coordinating volunteers and will need to contact you. In the meantime, you can email her with any questions you may have to hally (at) workhabit (dot) com
