Review of Drupal 7 Explained

Pearson (www.pearson.com), has generously donated numerous books for raffle to the LA Drupal User Group in the past. They have done it again, with their newest Drupal publication, Drupal 7 Explained: Your Step-by-Step Guide.

The first of the three copies Pearson sent us was raffled off as a prize at last night's meetup. Congratulations to the lucky recipient! Two more copies will be raffled soon.

Best shared hosting for Drupal?

What is the best Drupal optimized shared hosting? I am looking to transfer my site from Dreamhost and I'd like to know who is best for Drupal. I am temporarily looking for shared hosting with SSL until my budget will allow me to switch to VPS or Dedicated hosting. I have been considering Green Geeks and Bluehost, but I'm very open to suggestions. Who do you use and what have your experiences been?
Thanks!

Think about volunteer at this year's DCLA2013

Hello LA Community,

I was just looking at the volunteering sessions and attendee list for Saturday and Sunday of next week's Drupal Camp LA and wanted to take a moment to remind everyone they are there:

http://2013.drupalcampla.com/sessions/volunteer-sunday-8am

We currently have @7 people for both days, but they look like the same people for each day with a few of the usual suspects. I appreciate all that you do usual suspects!

Best Californian companies

Hi.
I am thinking about moving into California(from Europe) and I am curious about which California based companies are the best ones to work for? I'm more interested in full service advertising afencies rather than just companies specialized on websites(pure Drupal shops). Also I'm more interested in companies with more than 50 employees(I've worked for small companies and want a change of environment).

Which companies would you recommend?

New Meeting Place Needed for Inland Empire Drupal (IE Drupal)

Okay, I don't want to miss another IE Drupal meeting. I'm not sure if the reason for no meeting in May was solely due to a lack of a meeting place, but that's easily fixed. I'm willing to track down a facility that we can use long term, but I need to know where members would be comfortable driving to.

Take the poll!

What were your favorite sessions from Drupalcon Portland?

There were tons of informative sessions at Drupalcon in Portland! Except for the ceaseless rain and the fact that my roommate canceled at 1 pm on Monday, it was a wonderful conference. And I loved the Women in Drupal reception.
