Hello everyone, I'm back from long overseas stay (iran, dubai, china). Great to see so much local activity.

I registered for sandcamp. Does anyone want to share ride / hotel room? I am in LA and prefer to ride with other (in vehicles free of pet odor) and pay for it.

Those hotels listed are pricey. I stayed at this great hostel a few blocks from the water two years ago but can't remember the name.

I'm new to development and have come to a stopping point. When developing a new site and using GIT to maintain the revision control, I also put the site database into version control. When working on a site that is ready for beta testing, there will be new users and user data coming into the live database between development changes that are not in the changed development DB.

How do you get the development (DB) changes into the live site without losing all the new user data that may have been created on the live DB?

I'm in the market for a new web host. Does anyone have any experience with InMotion Hosting? I'm primarily interested in their VPS offerings, but I'd be interested in stories about their shared hosting as well. Good? Bad? Ugly? What's the scoop?

I'll put back the post that started this thread. I've been hit and supported, but my whole point was encouraging discussion about more women in Drupal and there being opportunities for them with no judgments outside of tech skills. Susan

I didn't ask to be born a woman; I didn't purposely wait until I was old to get into Drupal; and I certainly have no desire just to be attractive to be noticed. One day women will be looked at for their expertise and ability rather than being different.

OMG -- I just saw a demo of the Panopoly distribution using Panels from the DrupalCon Munich session, "Different Ways to control your layout " at http://munich2012.drupal.org/program/sessions/different-ways-control-you.... I cannot wait to test it out and compare it to Display Suite.

Just 4 years, 213 days, 18 hours and 31 minutes after I submitted my feature request, there's finally been a patch committed to Drupal Core (D8) which supports content moderation in the API! Yay!
