Getting a handle on git workflow with Drupal 7

In preparation for using Drupal 7 with multiple developers and git,
I'm teaching myself a usable workflow by putting together a
scripted interactive demo that walks through all the steps of setting it
up, creating a feature on one machine, checking it into git,
and deploying it on another machine from git.

Maybe such a thing already exists somewhere, but I haven't seen it,
so I'm publishing mine at
https://github.com/dankegel/droogflow
Feedback welcome. Once it's polished I'll try to screencast it.

One of the rough edges is the sample feature I chose to

Wearable technology and Drupal at the Wearable Tech Expo

Hi all, if anyone is interested in wearable technology (device integration, quantified self, augmented reality, etc.) and how it relates to Drupal and some of the exciting work we do, I'll be speaking today on a panel at the Wearable Tech Expo in Universal City:

Hollywood has long driven the imagination with all sorts of advanced technology. In the past this tech was all imaginary but in today's world nothing is left strictly to imagination any longer.

From the wearable technology of Tron: Legacy to the advanced tech of the latest Star Trek, much of it can already be implemented in the real world. This session demonstrates the evolution of wearable tech in the movies to wearable tech in our real lives.

If you're at the expo and can make it to the session, it's in Ballroom C at 3:30pm. Hope to see you there! If you can't make it, by all means please ask any questions here in this discussion and I and other folks in this community will do our best to answer them.

Scaffolding tool for Drupal8 based on Symfony Console component.

I want to introduce you to a code generation tool we have been working on, it's a code generator scaffolding tool for Drupal8 based on Symfony Console component.

The idea of this project is to provide similar functionality as the Symfony console, providing a CLI scaffolding tool to automate the creation of modules using the terminal to automatically generate the directory structure for controllers, forms, services and required files.

A second Westside meetup with 10-minute training bits?

I'd like to test the waters about putting together a second Westside meetup each month. I propose having 10 minute training sessions actually showing how you put together what you're doing (not a discussion) (sitebuilding, theming or module building) for 2 or 3 hours. Anyone could sign up to present, and the presentation schedule would be posted that day so you could choose which presentations you'll like to see.

Anyone looking to carpool to BADCamp?

I don't mind driving, and wouldn't mind splitting gas. Planning to be there for Thurs-Sun, with a possibility of arriving/staying a day or two early/late.

Photographic Blog homepage: Is there Drupal module that can do this?

This site's http://www.tamariskrtw.com/ homepage is displaying nodes chronologically using images from the latest posts. The mouseover displays summary text. Clean and dramatic design for a image-intensive blog site. But also appears to be a sluggish.

Already checked. Not a drupal site.

Is there a drupal module that can approximate this? This would be godsend for photographers and/or travelers posting constantly.
