New Module: Google Books
The Google Books module http://drupal.org/project/google_books is a filter module and an API for the Google Books service, that permits a user to insert rich Google book data, cover images, and inline book readers into nodes via filters with data retrieved from the http://books.google.com domain. The API also allows data to be pulled into flat arrays indexed by the text biblio field identifiers like 'author' or 'title.'

Hello there,
I am building a website where I need a Forum for a community and I wanted to extend the Drupal Core Forum's functionality but as I am new to drupal i am getting very confused and so Could anyone help me??? please...
Well I don't know if it is necessary as I have never used Core Forum before so I don't really now what it looks like, but I suppose it comes with the installation.
The forum would need to let people who wants to post content or reply to a thread to have a registered account ie they'd need to log in. However the content will have to be visible to the public.

Stephen Gracey will be talking about Content Strategy and presenting a case study of its practical application in Drupal.
See his comments on the event page on meetup for more info.
We'd like to have a couple short (5-10 minute) demos related to this topic after Stephen's talk, to showcase approaches to content strategy in Drupal. Anyone have a tried-and-true technique or an innovative solution to share? Then we'll open it up for discussion.

Last Spring I gave a presentation at our state educational technology conference on using Drupal for a school website. I wanted to make the presentation available for anyone to use as a starting point if you need to put something similar together. These are just the slides, so if you're familiar with Drupal they should make sense, but they do not work well without someone explain things as you go along.

Read moreUsing Drupal for a University-wide ePortfolio System
We're exploring the idea of using Drupal for a university-wide ePortfolio system. The feature set certainly looks like it's there (custom content types could organize different page templates. Other modules could help facilitate collaboration and communication). The big question for us is its scalability. Would we be able to scale Drupal to 50,000 to 100,000 student sites? Conceptually each student would have their own mini-site to showcase their content.
Any recommendations on the way this could be architected?
Thanks for any input you can provide.
