College catalog in Drupal?

We are looking for a new online catalog solution, perhaps one that will not require an API to integrate with our D7 web site.

Has anyone created their catalog or bulletin in Drupal?

If so,

  • How did it go?
  • Can you provide a link to your catalog?
  • Did you do it in-house or have outside help?
  • Were there any modules that were a particular help?
  • Any Drupal development companies you want to mention?

Thanks for any feedback or suggestions...

These digestible calls can be chained together or reference each other to form a type of recipe much like chef does; just specific to drush.

Getting Drupal Curriculum into 2,000 high schools in 24 months

I have a goal to get a full semester long Drupal based website design curriculum into 2,000 high schools in the next 24 months. To do this I really need some help from others in the Drupal community.

We launched a KickStarter campaign that will allow us to build a full semester long, high school level website design/development course using Drupal. This will also allow us to offer the course and teacher training at no cost to the school. We only have about a week until it’s over and need some help.

Webmaster | University of Texas Libraries

Employment type:
Full time
Telecommute:
Not allowed

Technology Integration Services, a department of the University of Texas Libraries, is looking for a new Webmaster. This is a sleeves-rolled-up development job, not simply a monitor and reporting position. This position is Drupal heavy, although not Drupal exclusive - probably 70% of your time will be dealing with Drupal, the rest of the time will be a mix of custom PHP and HTML, CSS wrangling, a bit of Wordpress and some more library / museum specific codebases like Islandora, Fedora Commons and DSpace.

ELMSLN packaged via Vagrant for easy spin up and try out

If you don't need to know how to setup vagrant and want to play:
https://github.com/btopro/elmsln-vagrant

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZeuDKzs6sj0&list=PLJQupiji7J5fygec37Wd-g...

This screencast is a series of 4 videos (for now, will be more in the future potentially) that show how to get ELMSLN up and running with Vagrant. This is the easiest way to setup this system as other methods require knowledge of bash scripting and a clean server to deploy against.

If you don't know what ELMSLN is check out http://elms.psu.edu/blog/post/elmsln-doodle-series
